Great Golf course! Links style. Michigander reminds me of Oakland hills, Indianwood golf course. Very high quality Greens. last weekend February better than hermitage! Half the price!

I am very new to golfing, so this’s review may not mean a lot. For the most part, the fairways and greens seemed like they were in decent shape, but I played the rough quite a bit and I expected the grass to be shorter and less mud. The carts were great and the course has a good variety of obstacles and features.

The course has a ton of potential but there are issues. First, the lady that I was to check in with in the clubhouse was not personable of friendly. She was more concerned with writing a note letting players know that the range was temporarily closed because they had not filled the ball machine. Most of the greens were burnt out and putting was not fun. I don’t want to be overly critical about this because greens keeping is a science and stuff just happens in Tennessee heat. Miss the fairway by five feet in some spots and it will take you 10 minutes to find your ball (if you can find it). The course is still very new and has a lot of maturing to do. Having said that, it was frustrating having to hit two less clubs in the greens only to still have them go long due to very hard bounces around the green complexes. I understand that a shorter course needs to be challenging but US Open + rough 10-15 feet from the fairway cut is ridiculous. Unless you hit your golf ball on an absolute string, you WILL lose golf balls. The geofencing is aggravating. You have to pay way too much attention to the screen in your cart or you will quickly be having to push your cart back into the proper zone. Most courses with geofencing will allow you to put the cart into reverse to back up into the proper zone but here you have to get out and push. For a course that doesn’t have cart paths on every hole, there are far too many cart path only holes. Again, lots of promise and potential with this course but overly penal. $75 per round with greens that are not up to the price point is not good.

This review is for Kris Hertzske! Kris is one of the instructors. I got a fitting for a new driver from Kris and he was super nice guy. I have not played in 15 to 20 years and always struggle with my driver. With the driver Chris picked out, I was hitting balls better than I can remember with a driver back when I played. If you need a fitting new grips etc. Chris is the guy. Very knowledgeable!

This course is really nice. The greens and fairways are great. I really enjoy it, and play is usually fast during the week. The only problem for me is the price. It is a little pricey at 75. I would pay 50 all the time, but for 75 I have to play just a few times a year. I would rate 5 stars if price was little cheaper!!
