I'm no golfer by any means, and i have only ever been to a handful of courses in my life. But as far as courses go its very pretty and has some fun challenging holes.

Great 9-hole course not far from Sioux Falls. Nice greens, in great condition.

Great 9 hole course including one of the longest par 5s I have ever played. Nice scenery with just enough challenge. Roughs are cut short enough you won't lose too many balls. Very nice carts at an affordable rate. Driving range and huge practice green are also very nice and well maintained. My favorite place to golf in this area.

Golfed River Ridge for the first time on Memorial Day. Staff was very friendly and the course is in great shape. One of the best 9 hole courses I've golfed on this year!

This was my all time favorite golf course. I started golfing last year- and spent many summer nights at this beautiful course. I was golfing my first game of the year yesterday- and I would say my best game- it was the best day. That was quickly taken from me, from what I can conclude are the “old duffs” golfing behind me, and their sense that I was taking too long…. It was one of the first nice days of this year- and obviously it was busy- there were multiple groups of 4 players ahead of my husband and I- and I felt for the sake of how busy it was, it was moving pretty quickly- we finished our round in under 2 hours. At hole 7- we were approached house manager-Angie- she made her way out so hastily and frantic- I thought something was wrong. She came to “confront” me -pointing her finger at me and saying “you’re new to golfing right?!” I shook my head yes- she went on to state that I was breaking the rules by teeing up my balls in the fair way- and how that “ruins the fairways- and is not allowed!”- fair enough! I wasn’t aware that was rule. Completely understandable- but then she proceeds to say “ AND if you are playing too slow, and others want to pass you, you have to let them pass- that is how it works around here”-and then drove away- as frantically as she had arrived. Needless to say, there are a MILLION different ways this could have been explained to us- and the energy and manner in the way she approached us – so unprofessional and embarrassing – it made me feel like I was getting yelled by my mother- I wonder if I looked like I was in my 60’s if she would have spoken to me in the same manner- or perhaps known that I was a member? Nobody in the party behind had approached, or been close to approaching my self or my husband to ask to pass- and if so, you can guarantee I would have let them- not sure what that would have solved, as there were multiple groups of 4 players in front of us. I did go in and apologize to Angie for breaking the rules of teeing off in the fair way- I did inquire about letting others behind me pass- and inquired what difference it would have made IF they had asked, as there were multiple groups in front of us-. She responded that she was "just explaining the rules because you are new”. I planned on signing up for a membership before leaving yesterday- so I am grateful that this interaction happened before I had the chance to do that. Thank you Angie- and the two old grumpy duffs behind me-what a mistake that would have been on my part. Have a wonderful season, I will never be back.
