Oh, you betcha![2] The course itself is a classic 18-hole, par 72 setup stretching nearly 6,748 yards from the back tees. It’s got that vintage vibe, designed back in 1959, so expect some quirky green designs with slopes and humps that’ll make your putter feel like it’s on a rollercoaster[4]. Some folks call it “terrible green designs,” but hey, I call it character! And the greens? They’re quick, bump-free, and in pretty darn good shape, especially if you’re swinging by mid-summer or even December-yeah, they keep it nice year-round[4]. Staff here? Me and my family are members here and I am really disappointed that the tee boxes haven't been addressed all winter. Some holes there are literally no tee boxes, just uneven dirt or rough at best. They have made some improvements in other areas but come on. If you don't have tee boxes it makes starting the hole no fun at all. If you are a women, forget it. No tee boxes at all on several holes. Just the markers stuck in the ground in uneven dirt. My daughters hates it. It wouldn't take that much effort and money to add some dirt and level out some of the tee boxes. It's the reason we may not be members here much longer. I would rather pay a little more and have a better experience somewhere else.

Good challenging course, good food and ice cold drinks Buck is a hard worker and the people are friendly.

'd been two years since my first visit and my last review so time for an update. It was Black Friday and I joined a group of 16 friends, mostly from Gaston County. We had a 1030a time, good thing I called ahead, there was a one hour frost delay. There were carts and guys waiting all round the #1 tee box and there was no started in sight. I walked in the ProShop, there were 2 guys standing there and I asked one guy was there a starter. He turned to the other guy and he said year, I'm the starter, what can I do for you? I just turned around and walked out. It was stacked up and backed up all 18 holes. It was about 49 degrees and the wind was gusting to 30 mph, then the sun went behind the clouds...brrrr. I will say they have made a lot of improvements from 2 years ago and the greens were in really good shape. They have cleaned up the dust from the clubhouse. For food options, there are hot dogs but they stock a full liquor selection. I had a rain check from my first visit which was a really bad experience. The guy looked at it and said 'this ain't no good'. I said why not, he said it's expired. There was no expiration date on it and when It was issued, I asked if it expired and I was told it did not expire. So much for customer service and building good will.
