Where to start? Best course I have ever played, we played Dec 18th. Service was 1st class, course is truly amazing and to top it all off- my daughter had a Hole in one on the 16th hole (160 yard par 3) Don’t have enough great words to say about this wonderful golf course!!!

Absolutely in my top 5 of favorite courses played! This was so fun (and forgiving, thank you wide fairways) and the staff was super nice and knowledgeable. The food was really good too. I just wish they had a better locker room. They don't offer any towels or amenities for the showers and the bathroom is very outdated. Outside of that, this place is fantastic.

If you read the recent reviews related to course conditions and don’t end up going, you’ll be disappointed! Yes, some of the tee boxes are a little beat up, you’re talking about a golf course that has consistent non stop play and there’s a reason why. Fairways and greens were in fantastic shape. Definitely make it a point to head out and play, it’s a fantastic layout and extremely fair, yet difficult

I’ll be honest. We had a tee time for 1:42. We teed off at 2:03 bc carts weren’t available. The cart attendant, the beverage cart employee and the half way house employee were above and beyond nice and apologetic for a 6 hour pace. I have never played a slower round in my life. Never. People that have played Charleston City Am on a final round don’t even play that slow. True Blue needs to reassess how many groups are going off or they need to actually enforce pace of play with ranger staff that removes groups that are holding up an entire course. This is a review of the course and enforcement of actual pace of play. I’ll most likely bail on any true blue weekend rounds from now on. Greens were nice, true roll, conditions above average. The course isn’t at fault. Look at pics for pace of play

I’ll start off by saying something nice: the layout of this golf course is awesome. It has a Tobacco Road feel to it (which makes sense) and it’s a fun, challenging layout. After that, I would say it’s one of the worst golfing experiences I have had. We got there an hour early which you would think is a golf courses wet dream to have everyone ready to go. Not here, everyone was incredibly annoyed with how early we were. Not sure why there was a bag drop off. The kid working it had zero clue as to what was going on and was extremely rude. He gave us no idea as to where anything was, where to pay, first tee, the range. Went to pay and the staff were incredibly rude. As we waited for our tee time, we ordered a few drinks, but that staff seemed annoyed we did not order anything else after sitting for 15 minutes. Finally, it came to golf and the starter was helpful until he realized we were starting on the back and ended up just confusing the hell out of us. After waiting on the first tee for 20 minutes, we realized they allowed a group of 6 to tee off in front of us. I have never seen this before but SOME OF THEM WERE SHARING CLUBS. The round took 6 hours. The Marshall drove by us a few times but was completely somnambulate, no interest in talking to us or telling the group in front of us to speed it up. The greens were also in the worst shape compared to any basic muni you have in your local town. They had aerated a couple weeks back but there were clearly massive dents on the greens that made putting impossible. Very very slow. I get it if this is a part of a package and you have nothing to do after the round, no where you have to be for the rest of the day. I am from out of town (so I’m never coming back) but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
