Four well groomed and designed golf courses. Great main clubhouse and practice green. The driving range could have used some sod work, but overall well done. The Dye course has its own clubhouse and range...and that course is like playing on Mars with volcano type sand traps and waste areas everywhere. Staff was great at all locations.

Barefoot Resort & Golf in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, features top-tier golf courses designed by renowned architects such as Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, and Greg Norman. Although the Norman course is picturesque, it doesn't quite match the spectacular nature of the others. The Fazio course stands out for its beauty and challenge, offering plenty of water hazards, sand traps, and "waste areas" of hard-packed sand. Our personal favorite was the Love course, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, despite being the most difficult of the four. Adding to its charm, holes 3-7 feature recreated ruins of an old plantation home, enhancing the historical ambiance of the golfing experience. Just a short drive away, the Dye course boasts its own amenities like a restaurant and driving range, following the signature Dye layout with ample sand and waste areas. Overall, our experience on all four courses was fantastic, leaving us eager for our next visit to Barefoot Resort & Golf.

Disappointed is an understatement!!! The rates that are being charged to play this course are absolutely ridiculous! The course was in horrible shape almost no grass in the fairways. The greens were OK but not anything to justify the price that is being charged. I played these courses two years ago and they were fantastic. It is really a shame how far they have let these golf courses slide in the last two years, please save your money and do not play this course. There’s much better courses for half the rate in the grand strand. I forgot to mention the shuttle that brings you to and from the driving range didn’t run for almost 20 minutes so we were. We were two minutes late to our teatime. The starter acted like we had just assaulted someone and pressed us on the tea box even though we waited on 17 out of 18 holes.

Nice course for my first experience playing a game of golf!!! Due to me getting lost and taking too long to line up shots we only got in 5 holes outta 9. Can't wait for my next time!!

My two stars are for the bar by the bag drop and 16,17 and 18. Cart girls were also very nice. Now for the course, SAND, SAND and more SAND! Yes I should have been able to keep it out of the sand but there are ALOT of very deep bunkers on this course. Maybe we should have also known that the turn didn’t come by the clubhouse. Had we known we could have been better prepared. Now the price, my buddy had a local discount card and even at that price, we didn’t feel this course was worth the money. The conditions were just okay. One of our golf carts GPS didn’t work and the ranger couldn’t make it work either. The carts are the older style even though this place is making a ton of money!! Our round took 5 and 1/2 hours which may be average for these courses idk. My advice is there are a lot better condition golf courses at a cheaper rate in the area. I hate it because these used to be on our rotation and now I’m not so sure. Not sure if I mentioned it or not but there is a lot of SAND on this course.
