Played Azalea Sands in January so the fairways were in winter shape but the tee blocks and greens were in great shape. Interesting layout. The service on arrival was great and the price is excellent. Will definitely play again while in Myrtle Beach on my winter away from Canada

Made a Tee Time for 4pm over 2 months ago knowing we were going to be down for our Vacation. The day of our Tee Time it was calling for rain right at our originally scheduled time (which for about 10mins it did right at 4:00) and we decided to go a bit early to see if we could get on around 2:20 and they accommodated us. The course itself was in tip top shape and coming down from the North it’s always great playing a course like this where everything is right in front of you. The Front Desk attendant was awesome as was the Cart Staff too. I highly recommend Azalea Sands for anyone looking to play a good fast 18holes. My Son and I played our entire 18 holes in 3hrs and 45mins. I know where to play when we come back down in 2 years. Also, the squirrels on and around the course are awesome as well. Treat yourself to a great round of Golf at Azalea Sands.

Played Azelea Sands in June of this year for the first time.Started on the back 9 greens were less than satisfactory. Once we got to the front 9 they were much better. The course as a whole was well maintained outside of the back 9 greens. Every employee was friendly and helpful.

** Played Course 5/23/2026.** Course layout was fun and the staff were absolutely amazing BUT… the greens were the worst greens I’ve ever seen. The reasoning we were given was that they had been recently punched them, but these were WAY beyond just punched and sanded. One of the greens (either hole 10 or 11) didn’t have a single blade of grass and that is not an exaggeration. It was pure sand and dirt. The corse itself was fun other than the greens. With nice greens this course would be great course to enjoy any time. Side note: the squirrels are absolutely insane and will climb in the carts to try and steal food. They are not afraid of people in the slightest.

I’m shocked this place is rated 4 stars on Google. If it was in excellent condition it would be a 3 star course max, and it isn’t even close. This reminds me of a small town public course from the 70’s. Uninspiring layout, nothing interesting, and greens are currently in terrible condition. The practice green was closed as the grass was completely gone, the chipping green was a small section that was mowed like fairway. The price was fair for the course, about $50 including cart, and the staff was courteous and welcoming. Fairways were in pretty good condition. If the greens were in good shape, this course would be appropriate for beginners and high handicappers, but never for an avid golfer. If you’re looking for a nice course worthy of your trip to MB, go elsewhere.
