The course was in very good shape, really enjoyed play here. Was paired up with a random, which made the round more enjoyable. Wide fairways very good greens, played somewhat slower than expected. The greens seemed tricky, they did not break anywhere close to how they read, but a very enjoyable course nonetheless.

Myrtlewood Golf Club offers an excellent golfing experience. The courses, especially Palmetto, are in superb condition – from tee boxes to immaculate greens. The layout is enjoyable for both casual and serious players. Scenic views along the Intracoastal Waterway add to the relaxed atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and professional, and the bag drop service is outstanding. The only minor point is the infrequent presence of the cart girl. Overall, it's a solid, memorable round of golf without feeling overly touristy.

Always a pleasure stopping in at Myrtlewood, staff are super friendly and usually I find someone from my hometown. Course is in amazing condition, equally challenging but ready for any golfer. The pro shop has everything to meet your needs. The bar has great selections for food and beverages.

We took our family on an outing here during our vacation. With two young golfers in the group this turned out to be the perfect course for us. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape and provided a challenging layout for all different levels of players. We would all come back again.

Update - Finally played the Palmetto course as well. As such, I will split this review for both courses. Onto the review. Pine Hills Tee Boxes 5/5 - With the exception of some unevenness to some of the tee boxes, they are well kept. Palmetto 4/5 - Not as upkept as PH, some noticeable wear on the white/gold combo (as you'd expect given the traffic) Pine Hills Fairways 5/5 - Nice and plush, no real issues with overly wet areas, nor is it eaten up by divots. Palmetto 4/5 - Not sure if it's excessive sun or traffic, but some areas show browning and patchiness. Not unplayable, but not a 5. Pine Hills Greens 5/5 - The greens ran at about a 10 and were more on the firm side, with shots releasing rather than checking up. Lines are true, though they have some poa on the edges that they keep trimmed and rolled. Palmetto 5/5 - Didn't See any noticeable issues with the greens other than some burnt edges and a couple bare fringes near bunkers. Ran at about a 10 all day. Pine Hills Rough 4/5 - For the times I ended up in the rough I had no issues getting out and onto the green. I hit about half my fairways today so I spent time in both. Palmetto 4/5 - As long as you aren't near trees, the rough is rather forgiving, that being said, it can be thick in some areas so take caution. Pine Hills Bunkers 4/5 - Thicker sand in fairway bunkers lends itself to less power loss on approaches. I hit a beauty from a fairway bunker from 160 out to 5 feet then missed the putt lol. Greenside sand isn't heavy and allows a club to get through it Palmetto 5/5 - I was in a couple bunkers today and while I could have hit the shots better, the sand wasn't an issue. It was soft enough and well kept in both fairways and greenside. Pinehills Layout 5/5 - It's very well sculpted. Water and sand come into play at spots you may put the ball with no prior knowledge, and the hole shapes add some variety since wind can sometimes throw a wrench into your shot planning. Palmetto 4/5 - Both courses seem to have put their scenic holes on the back 9 and since Palmetto doesn't come back into the clubhouse after 9, you feel the flow moreso. The holes that water come into play will have it in play for a while. The par 3s in particular are designed with interesting aesthetics since the greens are larger than they appear from the tee boxes. Amenities. There is a large putting green, and driving range next to the parking lot and a pitching green and practice bunker behind the clubhouse next to the intracoastal waterway. Overall - Now that I've played both courses I can say that I enjoy the play on Pine Hills more, as I like the layout more, but I think the Palmetto side has a better finishing hole.
