We are traveling and my girlfriend wanted to work out. I dropped her off and searched for a nearby golf course. I pulled into the property and was greeted by the starter. I asked if there was a chance I could play 9 holes. I paid and they paired me up with a threesome Mike 77 his two sons Jason and Eric. I had a blast. I had many great shots and many bad shots. We enjoyed our time together and I took lots of pictures.

The course was very nice. I’m a 9 handicap and found it challenging but also fair and certainly score-able. Plenty of trouble can be found so you need to use your head on lots of shots picking your targets. The greens are large and roll true. Pace of play on the front nine was glorious (twosome played in 1hr 25min). But the pace on the back 9 was atrocious (2hr 45min). We only saw one ranger who didn’t mention or comment on the painfully slow play in front of us. I’m still leaving a 5 star because the course was that nice and I can’t hold them entirely accountable for terrible golfers with no etiquette showing up. We’d absolutely come back again.

We played Cypress and Waterways 9s. Liked waterways better but both were good. Cypress may be a bit tighter. Lots of water on both and out of bounds along houses. Many Interesting hole layouts and pretty views along the innercodtal waterway. Conditions were very good. Clubhouse and range were great. All very close to downtown, airport and Broadway at the Beach.

If you love water, losing balls and enjoy cussing this is the course for you. Course was in great shape and tough for a hack like myself. 10/10

I played a wonderful round of golf Monday, May 4th on the Cypress and Lakes courses! The weather was beautiful and the courses were in great shape. My day started with a very helpful bag drop team and pro shop. The day continued to get even better when I went into the bar. There were a lot of finished players in the bar area and outside enjoying the great weather. The bartender was extremely attentive and courteous and I was able to get my adult beverages to take with me very quickly which allowed for some practice putting that was much needed. Both courses were in great shape and for the greens matched the practice green (all sanded equally). My only concern the entire day was the inconsistent pricing on my adult beverages by the cart girl. I was quoted one number but the total was different. Later when I needed a refill (Don't judge), the cart girl was in between the green and tee box after taking care of the group in front of us for an extended period of time on her phone which did slow us down a bit and caused the single behind us to catch up. Other than the questionable cart service we had a great round of golf and great service in the clubhouse which more than made up for it! I will definitely be playing this course again and hopefully we can play a little earlier so that we can enjoy the friendly bar service after the round!!!
