For starters it’s $38 local rate for 18 during the week. Not sure of weekend rates. Next the layout is pretty dang good. And the greens tho they were a bit on the slower side, they are in 9.5 of 10 shape! One green had a blemish on the back side. The staff and the starter was super friendly. Any downside would be the gnats. They about drove me completely crazy but only on the back side. I definitely will be playing it again but with bug spray along with my sunscreen. I been playing MB courses got the last 10 years and this is top 3. For overall probably #1 course in the area. Proves you can enjoy a great round for under 80-100 bucks. And kids play great under 18 I think it is. I 30 minute drive from North Myrtle but worth it!

We recently had a gathering at Diamondback Golf Course in honor of my dad, who was a member here, and I honestly can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. So many people showed up, and the staff handled everything with such ease and warmth. It made a meaningful day feel even more special. The course itself is absolutely beautiful, and the clubhouse is just as impressive. Everything is well kept and thoughtfully maintained. It really does feel like a bit of a hidden gem. The staff went above and beyond, and you can tell there’s a real sense of community here. We’re so grateful for how they took care of us and helped create such a memorable experience.

Live about 15 minutes down the road but first time playing. The wife and I enjoyed our round very much. First of all the customer service was top notch. The course was beautiful and well kept even with the drought conditions. Pace of play was great 4hrs for 18. Will be my go to course.

Great experience from bag drop until leaving. Excellently conditioned course and layout is for serious golfers (not kids & beginners) with lots of tight holes and carry shots. Best combination of course condition vs cost, in all of myrtle beach. Based on course quality, I'd expect to pay +$100, but this course is much more reasonable. This course is a hidden gem of the myrtle beach courses. Take the extra 10 minute drive to this course, you won't regret it (if you're a serious golfer). Bag drop / starter guy was the nicest and friendliest I've ever met. Range balls are included and available as much as you want. Pro shop manager was friendly, and even had a brief interaction with a guy on the mower while playing, and even he was friendly and energetic. I don't know what's in the water at Diamondback, but I want some. The course: tee boxes were ok, fairways and rough were good, bunkers and greens were excellent. I'm unsure how this course has maintained the lush green in the fairways and rough, while most in the area are yellow due to the dry spring & summer, but this course has it going on.

I've played this course several times over the past few years which surprises me that I haven't reviewed it yet. It has improved their conditions so maybe this is a good time. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 4/5 - Some tee boxes are in rough shape due to regular wear and tear. Some haven't turned green yet, and others are difficult to even get a tee into the ground. Fairways 4.5/5 - Not the plushest of lies, but it is slightly better than the rough. Greens 5/5 - Both the green and fringe are in excellent condition on most holes. The greens run at about a 10 with significant undulations. Bunkers 5/5 - I rarely end up in bunkers, and the ones I observed today had nice looser type sand. Rough 4/5 - Still unsure how to rate rough, as this rough wasn't difficult to play out of. It was cut rather low, being about an inch or two higher than the fairway but sometimes giving better lies. Layout 4/5 - We played off the back today which felt weird because the course feels like it should be played a particular way. Lots of doglegs requiring good shot placement or risk long approach shots. A sprinkling of hidden dangers give an edge to locals. Amenities 4/5 - Full driving range, putting green, but no separate chipping/pitching area or practice bunker. Despite it being I the 80s today, the coolers were bone dry. Overall, the value comes in the greens fees as the course is usually less than $50 even in busy season which is great given the conditions. I plan to continue playing every time I come down for golf trips.
