Two very nice courses open to the public. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Reasonably priced for Hilton Head golf.

One of the most underrated courses in the area. Both course are in great shape and challenging. The staff is great and very hospitable. Kupp course is a bit easier for the average golfer where the Hills is a step above with rolling fairways and almost tour like green speeds. Both courses offer stunning fairway views to the greens and very challenging driving holes. One of my favorite overall courses down here.

Played a round here with my father on Tuesday. We’ve had good experiences in the past however this time was different unfortunately. For starters the greens had recently been punched (not a big deal really but it would’ve been nice to know before hand) The rest of the course was well maintained and set up nicely besides the lack of distance markers. The staff was friendly, but there was one issue with an entitled member at the course which was surprising as it’s not what I’d expect from a nice country club. I’m not sure if they were frustrated due to their poor play or were upset that non members were playing on “their course” but the behavior was unacceptable. I understand a member has rights at a course but part of the member responsibility is to be a representative of the club, and at the very least not be rude to guests. I’ve cancelled my tee time for later in the week and will likely not be playing here again.

I was surprised by the conditions of the course as Heritage has done such a good job throughout their Hilton Head properties. We paid $150 per person for 18 holes for a Thur morning tee time. For context, this is more than reciprocal rates we paid when playing a few private courses in the same week. The team forgot to give us pin sheets and with no GPS in carts and nearly zero marked sprinkler heads, the distances were an issue for our groups in addition to challenging sand issues on the greens. We mentioned the problem understanding pin placements to a ranger but he did not mention the course usually offers pin sheets. Bev cart service was great, they had a great attitude but you get the impression the outside staff and inside staff have communication issues and they did not hesitate to blame each other for shortcomings.
