Fun course to play...fairways n greens in good winter condition.pace of play excellent.. friendly staff..good price value

Had a very nice over night stay. Played 9 holes on first day, had dinner in Georgetown, and played another 9 the next day. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens rolled really well. Had lunch at the pub after our last round. Pizza was very tasty. All of the help we encountered during our stay were super friendly and helpful. All in all a great short getaway!

Wedgefield Country Club is a picturesque, dreamy South Carolina venue surrounded by live oaks and beautifully manicured greens, nestled away in Georgetown conveniently located between Charleston and Myrtle Beach. The venue is perfect for a smaller, more intimate gathering, comfortably accommodating around 10–11 tables, while still offering plenty of patio space for guests to enjoy the outdoors. If planning entertainment here, be sure your DJ is equipped with sound coverage for both the indoor reception space and outdoor patio areas to create a seamless experience throughout the evening. My playing partner and I local to the Myrtle Beach area and wanted to try a new course and we found Wedgewood for ~$20-$30 cheaper. It’s a little further but we figured why not Drove into the parking lot and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Would be an awesome place for a wedding Unfortunately for golfing, we got to the first green and said “uh oh”. As beautiful as the parking lot was, the greens are in that rough shape. A lot of crabgrass and disease that causes very inconsistent and bouncy rolls. Ultimately for the price it didn’t feel worth it for how cruddy the greens were

We did the stay and play and it was awesome. We went in the middle of February so grass and course conditions were to be expected, however all of the greens were in easily 8/10 shape, in the OFFSEASON. Tee boxes all looked great, fairway was fine, every hole was cut well, easy to find our ball every hole. Very challenging course and a great range of distances, 7000 from the tips and only 4800 from the front. Don't let the short distance fool you though, every hole will give you something to think about. Didn't try the pub house so can't speak on that or their event staffing, but it looks like an awesome place to have a wedding. Staff was really nice and helpful, we'll definitely be back!
