I recently played at a course with a $175 fee for 18, this course smoked it in every way for half the price. The staff is amazing and the greens are insanely good! I mean the fairways were perfect too, I wish I lived in the area so I could come every week! I WILL BE BACK. Whoever said the fairways are thin, you probably need lessons. The course has completely normal challenging obstacles, nothing is too long or to narrow. Top tier course!

Always a great time at Springfield! Course is in great shape and is starting to green up nicely for the end of March. Aaron and his staff do an amazing job and it doesn't go unnoticed. Don't pass on this Charlotte gem.

Springfield GC Positives 1. Well manicured greens, fairways, tees 2. Beautiful clubhouse and surrounding lounge areas 4. Large putting green closely matches course (earning the second star) Negatives 1. Golf course is a great challenge while also being a great bore. Nothing memorable except the slow play 2. Driving range poorly maintained; golfers don’t like mats, but mats are better than dirt. If you can’t maintain the range, move players to your “state of the art” turf section. Lots of good targets to chunk your wedges at though. 3a. The only clubhouse staff worse than Springfield is the one at neighboring fort mill. But at least their poor staff manages a course with some character. The grill girls are good but the guys/gals in the pro shop are downright depressing. 3b. The starters here will do anything to disrupt your opening hole. They are constantly chasing people down the tees/fairway on #1 to ask for cart numbers, confirm check in’s, and give players info on course rules and expectations. All of which I expect to be done before the starter sends groups to the tee. Though there is one starter who is especially straightforward, and quick to berate those late to the tee. He’s about the only one I respect on staff. Quick and painless to deal with, unless you don’t do your part (show up on time). In the end this course very closely resembles the experience at any other Spring’s course: Access is for anyone willing to pay inflated prices, but real service is for membership. Don’t expect much except for 5 hours of your life to pass you by

Save your money, there are better courses in the area for less money with friendly staff. We were consistently harassed about pace of play when no one was ever waiting on us. We were told to skip the 10th hole when the group behind us was 10 min behind. The rangers were unnecessarily rude to us. Overall disappointing experience.

First time playing here. My dad visited from up north. Great public course! Super hilly. Great condition. Fast greens. Fun layout. Great service. Will be back!!
