Hackler Golf Course, formerly Quail Creek, is the home course of Coastal Carolina University in Conway. Designed by Gene Hamm in the 1960s, the course balances broad landing areas with doglegs and water features that create thoughtful challenges. It serves as a teaching facility for the school's PGA Golf Management program, ensuring consistently strong maintenance and innovative instruction programs. The greens are smooth and fair, while the overall layout provides plenty of scoring chances without being overly punishing. It's both a community golf hub and a proving ground for future golf professionals.

Nice track and discounts for seniors, veterans, and first responders. Lots of doglegs, nice consistent greens runnin at 9, and wide fairways. They’re doing some work on tee boxes, but dosent interfere with play. Nicest carts I’ve seen on the Grand Strand and cheapest concession/beverage cart prices. Has driving range, putting, and chipping greens. Would highly recommend for mid to high handicaps.

For early season course was in good shape and very playable. Lots of doglegs. A few tee boxes were rough. Good value for the money relative to some of the big names in the area. Check it out for yourself.

I had such a great round playing at the Hackler course. The course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. Relax course to play. Not too difficult. Even the water hazards seemed okay.

Great course, excellent condition. The only thing you can complain about is your own golf swing.

Good value. Challenging, but fair. Since it is so dry, the fairways have lots of roll, and the greens are fast. Carts have GPS. Full pro shop. Building a new one. Staff couldn't be nicer. Mostly students.
