A fine course if you are playing multiple courses during your visit. Very nice layout but there are some repairs needed. Cart path is tough to drive on, rough is better. Some greens being repaired but crabgrass around greens makes putting off the green difficult. Similar to my home course up north except I pay half the price.

Update - played on 3/13/24 and nothing has change but actually got worse. New company owns them Metropolitan Golf Group but still not seeing any changes. Half the bunkers on the front had water in them from a rain 5 days ago; tee boxes and greens are mixed alright and very bad. Bunkers edges are collapsing on themselves. Did not see one maintenance person on the course. Probably the worst course in the area. Owners, please do something!!! Old review: Really liked the layout and overall condition of the course, a few beat up tee boxes and a few bunker issues. But they seemed to be working on it. Staff is very friendly, nice pro shop, not sure about bar/grill. Off peak and excellent rate; walk-able course and very pretty with plenty of wildlife. Greens were very fast and movement on most all. Worth going back too.

I played this course 2 years ago and it was in terrible shape. While it wasn't in tip-top shape today, it was in 1000x better condition than it was 2 years ago! It will only get better as the ground crew works their magic! It's a great layout with challenging greens and beautiful Lowcountry charm. I will add them back into my regular rotation!

Very nice course, and not too busy at this time of year. The course rangers were very helpful and courteous. And, the first beers at the clubhouse are two dollars!!

Played this course on 4/21/2026 in the afternoon. The course layout suits the intermediate golfer. Wide fairways and approachable green surfaces. We played the front nine only. We found the course very dry, fairways burnt and hard pan and luke many others the greens were very difficult to putt becuase of the poor condition. I'm sure when Davis Love III designed this course he didn't intend it to present in the current condition. I gave it three stars mainly becuase of the friendly staff, nice carts. The course condition itself is a 1.5.
