Description

A George Cobb design in Anderson, Cobb's Glen weaves through hardwoods with a traditional parkland feel and several water-lined approaches. The course can stretch beyond 7,000 yards, with a routing that rewards shaping tee shots to open up green complexes. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting greens. It's a sturdy test that reflects Cobb's emphasis on strategic angles and clean visuals.

The new owner really cares about this beautiful course and it shows. It was in rough shape but, the improvements are amazing! If you haven't visited lately, you should. They are remodeling the pool area and the Bistro is amazing, offering cold beer, hot chili dogs, fresh baked goods and wonderful grill items.

The course is in great shape right now. The fairways are nice with no bare spots, and the greens are rolling great. I love the layout of the course. It plays very even from front to back as far as difficulty. The putting green was in good shape and the driving range, we didn't use but it looks like it was under construction. It looks like they are making a lot of improvements to the course right now. New sand going into bunkers,etc.. very nice carts. All in all a great course for the Upstate! Scores out of 10 Club house 6.2 Carts 8.5 Tee boxes 7.5 Fairways 7.8 Greens 8.2 Course Layout 7.9 Pace of play 8.7 Overall: 7.83 / 10

DO NOT PLAY THIS GOLF COURSE! This course charged me $46 to play nine holes, and it is one of the worst-maintained golf courses in the Upstate. Every tee box is sandy and uneven, the fairways are bad, and even in the summer, they are brown and ugly. The greens are patchy and dead. This course used to be an acceptable course to play because of the price, but now, with the outrageous price increase, I suggest Brookstone or Pine Lake if playing golf in Anderson.

Was highly impressed with the updates the new ownership has invested in. Fairways, Intermediate rough and greens all were very nicely maintained. Greens had been punched but were coming in nicely! They definitely have the nicest golf carts in the upstate (gps carts are rare at public courses here). . Didn't get to check out the restaurant/bar but will next time. Pro shop was nice, had anything you'd need.. We will be going back regularly. If you haven't been in a few years definitely go back and check it out!

Well, hello there, golfers! I'm excited to help you out with your request. Let's dive right in! As a lover of golf, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to check out Cobbs Glen Country Club in Anderson, South Carolina. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! First off, the course itself is simply stunning. With immaculate greens and fairways that wind through picturesque trees and water features, it's truly a golfer's paradise. The layout of the course is challenging enough to keep things interesting, without being so difficult that it's frustrating for players of all skill levels. It's clear that the folks at Cobbs Glen take great care in maintaining their course, and it shows. But the perks don't stop there. The clubhouse at Cobbs Glen is top-notch, with all the amenities you could ask for. From a well-stocked pro shop to a cozy bar and restaurant area, it's the perfect place to unwind after a round of golf. And let's not forget about the practice facilities! With a driving range, putting green, and chipping areas, you'll have all the tools you need to improve your game. Now, I know what you're thinking - "Kirk, this all sounds great, but what about the dad jokes?" Well, fear not, my friend! Here are a few to tickle your funny bone: Why did the golfer wear two pairs of pants? In case he got a hole in one! Why did the golfer bring two pairs of socks? In case he got a hole in one! Why don't golfers wear hats? Because they already have four! Okay, okay, I'll stop. But seriously, if you're looking for a top-notch golfing experience in Anderson, Cobbs Glen Country Club is the place to be. From the course to the clubhouse to the practice facilities, it's clear that they've got everything a golfer could want. So grab your clubs and hit the links - you won't regret it!
