Top public track in RI. Although it can be extremely slow on the weekends, it’s worth a shot off season or mid week. In rare fashion, we had the course to ourselves.

What an outstanding golf course. Beautiful layout that works its way through the native trees and hills. This course is meticulously maintained. Fairways were bent grass. Large greens were well protected by perfectly groomed bunkers, they rolled true on all 18. Play this course from the back and you're looking at +7,400 yards. Plenty of tee options in front of that. A very manageable 6,500 yards from the normal tees. No driving range, however. Great post round pub to eat and drink.

The Pros: Great condition!! The tee boxes full grass (except for divots) and competely free of broken tees. The faiways in excellent condition throughout. The green large and fast - lots of landing area. Its a very straightforward course. Water comes into real play on a short carry over water par 3 and a very nice finishing 18th. They have 3 tee markers to choose, plus the reds. The Cons: The bunkers need to be racked more often than they appear to be, but the sand is light and easy to follow through. Overall - an excellent experience. I walked as a single on a weekday with a 11:30 start. The only back-up was a 4-some in front of mebut they let me go thought. Clear sailing from there. For the 'Karens' out there: you golf on a weekend - don't expect anything under 5 hours at most courses. This course is definately worth a play, regardless of the pace.

One of the nicest owners on the planet. We played today and were greeted at check in with welcoming smiles. It was 9am and my friend asked for two drinks and it’s almost like he read our mind and was happy to serve us. The weather didn’t look great but our group travelled a long way from Boston and didn’t want to give up in case the weather wasn’t as bad as we thought. Ended up being brutal by hole 7, windy and sideways rain. Soaked and cold we came in after 9 with harsher weather on the way and the owner again was so friendly. Already had a rain check card ready for 9 holes, acknowledged how cold and defeated we felt and thanked us for coming out even though many cancelled their tee times today. He said verbatim “you had a lot of options today but you chose to be here and I thank you”. We felt really appreciated and can’t wait to come back if we can get all 4 of us back out again from BOSTON.
