Wilkes-Barre is a classic NEPA private club with a tradition-rich atmosphere and a course built around strategic precision. The layout typically rewards accuracy and positioning because angles into greens can meaningfully affect scoring chances. Greens and surrounds often provide much of the defense, demanding sharp distance control and a confident short game. The club cadence is established and community-forward, shaped by member events and competitive play. Overall, it’s refined Luzerne County private golf: classic, strategic, and built for repeat rounds.

Awesome classical golf course with undulating fairways and challenging greens. Much improved this year 2026. Greens and tee boxes are in great condition. Fairways are much improved. Bunkers have new sand and are a work in progress. With reasonable green fees and tee times. 18 holes can be easily played in less than 3 1/3 - 4 1/2 hours. We will definitely be playing here often this year. Great to see all the improvements!

Consider cross country skiing here. Looks like they have a good youth PGA program. Golf for the people!

The first time playing this course lots of fun. I found a lot of times the fairways were wet, and they were little gnats, flying around. Either way as a new golfer played 9 holes. Hit the green one under par two times, very happy

The course is in shambles. The management is horrible. A guy named John apparently runs this disaster and doesn't respect tournaments. The greens are burnt, the tee boxes aren't close to level and the grass is higher then the rough and the sand traps.....just see the picture attached. I wouldn't take money to play here.
