Hollenback is a compact, tradition-leaning course experience that pairs well with golfers who like quick rounds and repeat play. The layout rewards precision and good tempo—shorter holes can still demand smart targets, especially when green-side positioning matters. It’s a great fit for league nights, after-work loops, and golfers who want to work on scoring rather than just distance. The vibe tends to be welcoming and local, with a “regulars’ course” feel that makes it comfortable even on a first visit. Overall, it’s high-utility Wilkes-Barre golf: efficient, friendly, and built for frequent play.

Cute, inexpensive and very walkable 9-hole golf course. Great for a quick 9 or 18. Greens are in great condition but the rest of the course needs maintenance. Tee boxes and fairways were not cut.

Worst pins I’ve ever seen in my 10 years of playing golf do not come

Nice 9 hole in the city. Well worth the price.

the prices for a round at this course have gone up astronomically... the course is mediocre at best... tee boxes are never cut, fairways are not taken care of, greens are bumpy and never rolled. 30$ for a 9 hole twilight round on a friday is highway robbery.

Course is nice and well kept, green fees are dirt cheap. Definitely a good course for beginners, as long as you go when it's not busy. Did my first 9 holes here and had a blast. Each hole felt distinct in its own way, 10/10 will golf again
