Oakbrook is a classic small-town public course where the appeal is straightforward: relaxed pace, approachable golf, and a round that fits into real life. The layout tends to reward steady ball-in-play decisions—keep it in position off the tee and you’ll give yourself manageable approaches most of the day. It’s a great fit for mixed-skill groups because it stays friendly, especially when players choose tees that match their distance. Better players can still chase a number by tightening wedge proximity and keeping three-putts off the card. The vibe is typically welcoming and unpretentious, making it easy to become a regular. Overall, it’s dependable Stoystown-area golf: simple, repeatable, and enjoyable.

Favorite public course in the area by far. Well maintained with a good mix of challenging par 3s and par 5s. Cart paths could use a little TLC but overall the course is one of the nicest around.

Not at bad place to play but needs better management and not the primary goal of making money. If you have multiple leagues playing, send 1 off front 9 and the othe off the back. Also dont allow other players in between the playing leagues.

Nice layout. Fairways and green in great shape. Short part 3's and interesting par 4's and 5's. Cart paths could be better, but they don't offset the great course condition.
