Leaning Pines is a friendly, community-style course where the emphasis is on approachable golf and a relaxed day outside. The best scores generally come from steady ball-in-play decisions and conservative targets into greens, since that reduces the scrambling that inflates scores. It’s a strong fit for casual groups and repeat play because it’s easy to learn and comfortable to play conservatively. Better players can still have fun treating it like a scoring course by tightening wedge distances and converting putts. The overall vibe tends to be welcoming and low-pressure, making it comfortable for golfers of all levels. Overall, it’s high-utility Saint Marys golf: straightforward, repeatable, and easy to enjoy often.

Wonderful 9 hole course but with several sets of tees, so a par three on the front was a par four on the back etc. Private course condition on a public course a rarity indeed. The gentleman in the Pro shop was very nice. All in all a great experience.
