This used to be a decent course. Not so much anymore. The greens are rolling at like a 4, a lot of the tee boxes, especially on the par 3’s are beat up. I don’t think they have had mowers or rollers out at all! It’s gone down hill fast! And they had the nerve to raise there prices! This place is a shame anymore.

We play the 18 hole course at SPGC on a weekly basis, Senior Fees with Pass have increased from $18.00 to $31.00 for 18 holes in 2026. The course is in good shape for the middle of May, but a 70 percent increase in green fees with cart is not sustainable for most Seniors. We had a tee time at 10:00 am on the 18 hole course last week and holes 1 and 2 were wide open. You can easily see the decreased play on both the 18 and 9 hole layouts. SPGC use to be affordable for the citizens of Allegheny County that play the 2 courses at SPGC. I am sure players are rethinking their play at this legendary course.

Pros and cons Pro Staff at front desk was helpful but not cheerful plenty of them there. Cart guys were happy and helpful and said thanks. Cons. Course is reverting to the old south park conditions. Heavy rough. Greens not cut or rolled. Need sand for divots Fringes have fungi. Tee boxs are beat up and need overseaded. The increased cost doesn't equal the conditions at all! Gotta do better.

This was definitely the worst $50 golf course I’ve ever played. The fairways were well maintained. That was about it. The tee boxes are all bumpy and destroyed. A lot of the green fringes are burnt out and full of holes. Some of the greens even had spots like that. There are some areas where there is no grass and just dirt. This is a $30 golf course, tops. There are significantly nicer courses in the area for the same price.

I understand raising prices but 68 dollars for 2 to play a subpar 9 hole course is ridiculous. Will play elsewhere for the same money that put the effort in to make a playable course. South Park will fail if they don’t change the pricing model.
