Spring Valley plays like classic western PA public golf—scenic, relaxed, and built for steady enjoyment without a lot of fuss. The course rewards patient course management: keep it in play, aim for safe sections of greens, and avoid compounding mistakes that lead to big numbers. It’s approachable for mixed skill levels, which makes it great for casual groups and league nights. Better players can treat it like a scoring course by tightening approach distances and putting well when birdie chances appear. The atmosphere tends to be friendly and unpretentious, making it easy to become a repeat visitor. Overall, it’s dependable Mercer-area golf: approachable, repeatable, and enjoyable.

Great variety of holes with elevation changes, twists and turns. Staff is super nice and the vibe in the barn is very cool. I will be back!

Spring Valley is a family owned/operated public golf course and lodge. Bob and Barb (brother and sister)are wonderful hosts and make you feel like you're one of their own. The golf package is very reasonable and includes home cooked meals and beautiful views throughout the golf course. The course can be challenging at times and you definitely want a cart due to the hills but a better golf adventure in Western PA you won't find.
