Bucknell is a polished, high-quality course experience that feels more “destination” than you’d expect from a college-town setting. The layout is built to challenge good players while still being enjoyable for everyone, mainly because it rewards sound strategy and consistent ball-striking rather than pure power. Conditioning and presentation are typically a point of pride, which makes the round feel elevated—great for trips, small events, and “let’s go play somewhere nice” days. It also has a strong practice-and-play flow, so it’s easy to treat the day like a full golf session. Overall, Bucknell is a Central PA standout: scenic, well-kept, and legitimately satisfying from start to finish.

Played August 16th (with my daughter who will be back here for her first college event in a few weeks) - great golf course!!! Tough but playable. Really enjoyed it, every hole was unique and very interesting.

Not sure why it took me so long to play this course? The grounds were super clean, the fairway and greens were all well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The fellow golfers were just as friendly. The food was great! Ice cold beer was a plus. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Will definitely be back!
