Berkleigh has an old-school Berks County golf identity—rolling hills, classic club character, and a course that feels like it’s been part of the region’s golf story for a long time. It carries a “once-private, now more accessible” spirit that gives the round a slightly elevated feel compared to typical daily-fee golf. The best way to score here is to play within yourself: favor smart angles, avoid short-siding, and let patience create opportunities. It’s the kind of place that works equally well for competitive golf and a relaxed day out, because the layout gives you options without feeling gimmicky. Overall, Berkleigh is a tradition-forward Kutztown-area round: classic land, strong character, and a course that rewards disciplined golf.

The course is in good shape, but I've been waiting at every hole. Seems like more waiting than playing. Expecting a 6 hour round. Hope it doesn't get dark before I finish.

Berkleigh is a wonderful course with a traditional layout. The front 9 is very playable. The back 9 begins similarly for the first coupe holes and then the character kicks in. A great experience and good food to boot.

Straight up course with a few blind tee shots, especially from the Blues. Greens are challengingly quick and very firm. Most holes anything landing on the green is guaranteed off the back. Fairways are touch and go with quite a few bare areas. 4hr 30min round. Nothing spectacular, but price is right and will golf here again.

Good course with some history! I had an enjoyable morning here. The course is in good shape after a tough weather year and fun to play. Great green complexes and some room to track down wayward shots.

Nice course. Got it on a hot deal. Definitely a track worth more than $40 in today’s prices so that was awesome. Course felt long but some great challenging holes.
