I had my wedding here on 11/9/24 and it was absolutely magical. Thankfully it wasn't TOO cold and we were able to have the ceremony outside in the courtyard however had it needed to be indoors the indoor location was stunning as well! This venue is just so beautiful with the stone building, black iron front gate and the hand painted wood beam ceiling it was everything I dreamed of and it needed very little extra decor which made my life easier! We had about 140 guests but there was plenty of room for more as you have access to multiple areas at the venue. I also love that when you book you are the only event that day so we had the whole place starting at 8am! The bridal suite is amazing with lots of mirrors and lighting. They made sure we had lots of drinks and the food and alcohol packages were really great (we had a small party so we just got a mimosa package). The room for the guys to get ready in was also really nice and worked perfect for them. The venue also let us drop off a lot of stuff the day before when we came for rehearsal which was super helpful and made the next day less stressful. The all inclusive pricing makes things super easy and transparent but don't forget to take gratuity into account for the final cost! All of the workers that day were wonderful and really helped make our day smooth and special. One thing to note, The venue does give you the option to have the DJ up in this lofted area in the ballroom which was great space wise but beware we had a really really hard time hearing the DJ announcements and a lot of stuff was missed by us and our guests due to this. The one thing I really wish I had done differently was hire my own coordinator even if just for the day of. I am super type A and very organized and thought I'd be able to handle it but boy was I wrong and wish I had done myself the favor of hiring someone!

My husband and I got married at HVCC on June 1st 2024 and had the BEST most perfect day there and that is all thanks to Allison and her team at HVCC. Book HVCC for your wedding now!! From the very beginning communication and planning with Allison has been a breeze. She answered all of my questions (trust me I had many) quickly and throughly. Everything is included, making it so easy and pricing was transparent (one price for person including tip, tax, open bar, bridal attendant and day of coordinator, and linens). We also were able to add on additional passed apps, and brunch for the girls and guys and get ready on site starting as early as 7 am. The chef was so accommodating for allergy restrictions and menu changes (my husband is gluten free and they said because they are a country club they already make many things gluten free to cater to their members so that wasn't even an issue). We also were able to trade out the included ice cream in the dessert package for our own ice cream from the University of Delaware creamery making our day that much more personal. Our bridal attendant was AMAZING. She was with us from 8 am until the end of the night. We had everything we needed, as did our parents. Our guests also all raved about the food. At golden hour the club also gave us a golf cart and a driver and took us on a ride through the course. It was so much fun and such a nice moment for my husband and I to have together to get away for a minute. Now, for the space. you get so much space at HVCC and it is all stunning. HVCC closed the gates of the courtyard during our ceremony making it feel so private and intimate for us and our guests. 5 pm ceremony on June 1st and the courtyard was also completely shaded again ensuring guest comfort. Cocktail hour on the terrace overlooking the course at golden hour was stunning. The reception room with the high pitched, hand painted beam ceiling and gold chandeliers, fire place, hardwood floors and big windows was exactly the vibe my husband and I wanted. The garden room also has large windows with so much natural light. If it rains you can definitely still get beautiful photos inside here. I had not heard of HVCC prior to wedding planning and truly felt like it was a hidden gem. Our day was absolutely perfect and we cannot recommend HVCC enough! thank you thank you!

Great property! Challenging course with elevation changes and slick greens.

Having our company Christmas lunch here, Allison was awesome to work with in setting it up and working out the details. The food is outstanding, the club itself is beautifully decorated for the holidays. The golf course is for members only, great track, played it a few times.
