Honesdale is one of Pennsylvania’s oldest clubs, chartered in 1900, with a deeply traditional, members-and-guests atmosphere. The course is an 18-hole par-70 that’s known locally for strong greens and a classic, understated style rather than flash. It carries real historical gravitas—Masters champion Art Wall Jr. holds the course record with a remarkable 58 set in 1942—so there’s a sense of legacy baked into the experience. The round tends to emphasize control and precision, with angles and green-side execution playing a major role in scoring. If you like old-line club culture and a course that’s proud of its heritage, Honesdale delivers that in a very authentic way.

This is an amazing 9 hole golf course the fairways and greens are beautiful. The set of tee boxes are different enough to make it play almost like an 18 hole course. The clubhouse and bar have tremendously friendly people. We are traveling through town and we were able to play without any issues.

Beautiful course. Well kept. Friendly people. We golfed in a tournament here and had our doubts playing on a nine hole course but were not disappointed. The greens were in spectacular condition-I always try to repair as many divots as possible and was hard pressed to find too many ball marks. We had a great time and plan to return.
