Hershey’s East course offers a polished, resort-adjacent private-club round that feels like a “big stage” experience—elevated conditioning, strong club infrastructure, and golf that rewards complete play. The layout tends to ask for disciplined tee shots and precise approaches, with greens and surrounds that can quickly punish careless misses. It’s a course where patience matters; playing to smart targets and accepting pars on tougher stretches is often the best scoring strategy. The overall atmosphere feels professional and established, reflecting the broader Hershey golf culture and the club’s tradition. Better players will appreciate the shot value and strategic demands, while mid-handicaps will enjoy it most by playing conservative targets and keeping penalty swings off the card. Overall, it’s premium Hershey-area private golf: polished, strategic, and event-worthy.

The two courses were in fantastic condition, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the Hogan Grill was exactly what I’d want from a golf club grill room.

The West Course at Hershey Country Club is an amazing golf course with a championship pedigree. The course has the distinction of having hosted the 1940 PGA Championship in which Byron Nelson defeated Sam Snead in match play to win the Wanamaker Trophy. The conditions of the course were outstanding and the staff were all very friendly and helpful during my round at this historic venue. The layout isn’t overly challenging but the greens are some of the most severely undulating and fastest I’ve ever played on and will definitely challenge golfers of all skill levels.

Got an opportunity to play both the West and East courses for a fall golf trip. We all thought it was great. The older West course wraps around parts of Hershey with great views. East course has a lot of hills and the greens are all crowned. Challenging and fun! The fall colors popped on both courses. Staff was awesome and friendly. Nice restaurant and staff which helped us get some delicious lunch before we headed out.
