The Country Club of Harrisburg is a tradition-rich private club with a course built for repeat member play and competitive golf culture. The layout rewards thoughtful strategy—good angles into greens matter, and approach distance control is often the difference between birdie chances and scrambling for par. It’s a place where greens and surrounds can quietly dictate scoring, so a sharp short game and confident putting speed are major advantages. The club atmosphere typically feels established and community-forward, with events and leagues shaping the season rhythm. Better players will appreciate the shot value and demand for precision, while mid-handicaps can enjoy it most by staying patient and playing to conservative targets. Overall, it’s classic Harrisburg private golf: refined, strategic, and built for serious rounds.

One of very few still private country clubs around. Love all staff and member's. Very welcoming! And swim team coach is the best around. Golf course is amazing, and chef introduces his self and explains everything. Beautiful views of river and mountains. And BEST 4TH OF JULY PARTY!!!! One big family.

Hubby and I attended a holiday party in one of the private rooms at the Country Club of Harrisburg. The evening included music by DJ Gains, table games by Phantom Entertainment, and a fine-dining experience from the country club.

I have never been a CC person but this was a spectacular experience. The staff is amazing! They are oh so accommodating. The only thing you need to be ready for is the elevator it's only room for one😱. However, if I can survive it you can also. The key is to close your eyes.

A true old school country club experience. Challenging course with views of the mountain and Susquehanna river vista's that are unmatched. The people who picked this spot over a hundred years ago knew a good view when they saw it. It is a great place to play a round and watch the sunset with a cigar.
