Greencastle greens is a good golf course, not a fan of the developers that have moved in putting in houses. They are encroaching greatly on many Fairways making the course much more challenging than the layout of the course actually is. Price of the courses isn't bad, and it's in pretty good shape. Fun rounds

We moved into the Greencastle Greens community about 3 years ago. Moving up from Frederick Maryland we had heard about the course but never played it. Since we’ve lived here we’ve played the course a handful of times. Unfortunately the rumors we’ve heard from many in the local community seem to be true. The course is horribly managed and maintained. The cart paths of full of pot holes and in some areas are completely falling apart. The driving range is just hardscape rolling hills of dirt and worst off what ever true genius decided to renovate (I guess is what you would call it) the driving range parking area by removing the parking area (that was once there) and dumping piles of rocky dirt that sat as PILES OF ROCKY DIRT for several months. Up until they finally leveled the piles of rocky dirt into a nice rocky weed lot. Talk about maintaining appearances. How the home owners across the street haven’t pitched a fit is beyond me. Almost certainly driving down their property value. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to go buy grass seed and peat moss and turn the area into a lawn and put in ornamental trees. Or (and this might require putting actual money into their business investment so I know that’s probably hard on the owner) paving the area over and turning it into a golf cart parking lot so people can park their cart and warm up on the driving range. It’s clear the owner has very little desire to maintain the course. Which is why I’ve been told many people that used to play it now go elsewhere. Why spend your hard earned money to golf at the Greens only to need to visit an Orthopedist or chiropractor when your done?! Oh and apparently the owner or manager (not sure which one) has a problem with people walking or jogging the course near dark. My neighbor told me they’ve been told it’s a liability issue?? Because you could get hit by a ball? I guess you can’t get hit by a ball if you live on the fairway or are out playing the course. Way to endear yourself to the community. I get not wanting dogs out there but people who live on the course taking a walk or jog at twilight should never be an issue as long as their courteous to the golfers. According to many people all over Greencastle once the new owners took over the course has begun to go down the drain. Until the owners sell or completely change the way they run the course (which may be as simple as firing the manager) I and many people around here won’t play it.

Extremely pleased! First time playing this course today, and wow! The conditions, the elevation changes, the water carries, it was fantastic and beautiful! Well done!

Well, I thought it was a great course. $70 with cart per person. Lots of hills. Greens looked well kept. Good amount of parking. I do gotta say. BEWARE OF HOLE 10. The tee off is past the driving range. Upon arriving, we were met with a hail storm of golf balls landing all around us. Some balls made it halfway down our fairway. Wish I had brought a helmet.

The maintenance, staff, and parking are all amazing! The course is very difficult compared to other courses in the area with narrow fairways, fast greens, and many hazards. Overall, I would recommend this course to intermediate and advanced golfers. If you're a beginner golfer, good luck!
