Macoby Run is a well-regarded public course that offers a full, modern daily-fee experience with strong conditioning and a layout that rewards disciplined strategy. The routing typically emphasizes positioning—tee shots to preferred landing zones set up the best approach angles into greens. It’s challenging but fair, with enough variety to keep better players engaged while remaining playable for mid-handicaps from the right tees. The course tends to separate scores on approach shots and putting, especially when pins are tucked and greens are rolling. Overall, it’s a standout SEPA public option: polished, strategic, and consistently respected.

Really enjoyed my 1st round here. Diverse routing, nice elevation changes, nice large greens. Will be back, played during the week at noon. Pace of play was about 4.25 hours. Fun, shot 83

Nice course! It's pretty scenic. The only complaint was they must have sprayed something because there were a million bubbles over the course, and it made it a little hard to find your ball, haha. But other than that, it's actually a very nice course, not too challenging as long as you keep it on the fairway

I played a round of golf today and had a great time. The course is looking the best I’ve ever seen it meticulously maintained. I would highly recommend this course

Macoby Run is a gem that I hope stays a gem, by understanding WHY it's a gem. It doesn't try to be more than what it is, which by itself makes it more than what it is. If a corporate entity bought this property, the owners would be normal if they sold it. I hope that doesn't happen. The course is not on GolfNow, or it would be quickly discovered. It would also lose its charm, not to mention its immaculate condition. It's in great shape, which really brings out its quality. The fairways are tight, the rough is thick, the greens are immaculate and fast. It's a good test of golf, but also, it's very playable. It's also quiet. Very rarely do you see a car. It's a 4-star course, with a 5-star experience. Very enjoyable.
