Description

Manor Valley is a York County public course that blends playability with a layout that can challenge you when you’re not in position. The routing typically rewards steady tee shots and controlled approaches, with enough variety to keep the round engaging for repeat play. It’s a comfortable course for mid-handicaps, but it still separates scores through greens and strategic hazards when set up firm. The atmosphere tends to be welcoming and outing-friendly, making it popular for leagues and regular local groups. Overall, it’s a reliable south-central PA daily-fee round: straightforward, strategic, and easy to return to often.

Unfortunately, my experience at Manor Valley Golf Course left much to be desired. The course layout is extremely open, offering little in the way of challenge or creativity. Poor shots aren't penalized, which might appeal to some beginners but ultimately makes the course feel dull for most golfers. After recent rain, I found the course to be poorly drained compared to others in the area—several holes had soggy spots and standing water. The absence of defined cart paths only made navigating those wet areas more frustrating. On top of the course conditions, my experience was further soured by the interaction in the pro shop. The staff member I spoke with was neither polite nor welcoming, which set a disappointing tone before I even teed off. I only played the first seven holes before calling it a day due to an unreasonably slow pace of play ahead of me, with no signs of improvement or course management stepping in. In short, there are far better golf options nearby—both in terms of course quality and customer experience.

I went to Manor Valley Golf course for the first time today (Wednesday, 09/10/25, 11 am tee time). The course was very well kept, the restaurant/bar seemed very nice and the greens fees were good. My first impression was this is a "first class" course. I went to tee off at my time and it was all backed up. There were several golfers in front and several behind. I asked the pro shop staff if I could start on the back nine instead of front due to back up and he said no. I was not really in a hurry so I thought I'll be patient and make the best of it. A few holes in we had an agressive, frustrated group behind us and it was kind of like having an agressive driver on the road. It made the experience very difficult. I was not in a hurry but it took 2.5 hours to finish the front nine and I had to deal with agressive, frustrated golfers. Even though this was a very nice, well kept place I don't think I will be back due to back log of golfers and agressive patrons.

I’ve played the course a couple times, seems to be in way better condition then its neighboring course, and not Westmorland CC The pro shop attendant was very rude and unfriendly and short with me. Asked to play 9 holes and he asked if I had I tee time. Parking lot was almost empty. He said we normally wouldn’t let me go out unless I had a tee time. Not a great experience. Was thinking of joining, not anymore. I’m responding to Ken who is a patron. Yes I did play this afternoon, at 2:30. Leagues don’t start till 4ish. I never asked to walk, I’m not married and I was by myself. I was treated coldly by an older gentleman that didn’t want to be bothered by my questions. The course was in great condition, I just don’t think that a person that is there to deal with the public shouldn’t be not nice

Nice event center but not easily accessible if you have mobility issues. Food was terrible. They ran out of potatoes at half way through the group. The Chicken was tough and beef was processed
