Description
Butler’s Lakeside is the more dramatic of the two Butler’s 18-hole layouts, known for bigger scenery, more elevation change, and a “no two holes feel the same” rhythm. It’s a course where commitment matters—pick a line, trust it, and execute—because the terrain can turn small misses into bigger problems. The best rounds usually come from playing it like a chess match: choose conservative targets when needed and take advantage of the handful of holes where you can press. It’s also the type of course that feels different every time depending on wind and firmness, which is why people enjoy replaying it. Overall, Lakeside is a scenic, high-variance round: really fun when you’re striking it well, and a true grind if you’re spraying it.
