Description

Terra Greens is a true neighborhood 9-hole course—compact, practical, and easy to fit into real life, whether you’re sneaking out for a quick loop or working on your game. The round is less about overwhelming length and more about repetition: hitting a lot of scoring clubs, learning patterns, and getting immediate feedback on wedge play and putting. It has the feel of a community asset, the kind of course locals root for and return to often because it’s convenient and approachable. Because it’s nine holes, it’s ideal for beginners and juniors, but it still stays interesting for better players who want to chase low scores through precision. Overall, it’s “high utility” golf—simple, accessible, and built for frequent play.

Very nice serene quite 9 hole course. The greens are a little small and very flat. They made it so you use all the clubs in your bag there are a few 3s 4s and 5s. So come with your bag not just your pw and a putter. Over all a nice place to relax .

Played there Thursday, haven't played there in years. Really pleasant surprise. Course was in good shape. Greens and fairways in nice shape. Fun 9 hole course. We looped it twice. Pace was great and greens fees very reasonable. Definitely going to go back.

I recently visited Terra Greens Golf Course for what was meant to be a fun Sunday outing with my two children, ages 6 and 12, who both love to golf. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable, and I left feeling incredibly frustrated and disappointed. Upon arrival, I noticed that the green fees were higher than what was advertised online, which was already a red flag. However, I decided to proceed, thinking we could still make the most of the day. After paying, I was informed that only one of my children could ride in the cart with me while the other had to walk beside it, which is completely absurd. I was told this was the “superintendent’s” rule, and that he would remove us from the course if both kids were riding. This made no sense, but I decided to move forward since my children were excited to play. Before we even teed off, an employee came out to tell me that my kids couldn’t drive the cart—a rule that I fully understand, as it’s common sense. However, the manner in which it was communicated only added to the frustration. Trying to remain positive for my kids, we started our round, but the problems continued. By the time we reached the third hole, a ranger began following us, watching us intently for about 25-30 minutes. It was clear he wasn’t “patrolling the course” as he claimed, but specifically monitoring us, making the whole experience uncomfortable. When I finally asked if there was an issue, he insisted everything was fine but continued to linger. After a while, he returned to the clubhouse, leaving me with the impression that we were being unfairly singled out. As we played on, I became increasingly frustrated by the overbearing scrutiny. By the time we reached the 9th hole, I had had enough. I couldn’t allow my child to continue walking beside the cart like a dog because of an unreasonable and poorly enforced rule. I paid for 18 holes but only played 9, and honestly, that was more than enough given how our day was going. This is a municipal course, not an exclusive country club, and the way we were treated was completely uncalled for. What makes this even more upsetting is that I started my own golf journey at Terra Greens years ago when it had different owners and a far more welcoming atmosphere. It’s truly disheartening to see how the course has changed. I rarely get a full day off to spend with my kids, and what should have been a fun, family-friendly experience was ruined by the course’s unprofessional staff and unnecessary rules. I won’t be returning to Terra Greens Golf Course, and I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for a positive, enjoyable outing with their family.

I've been playing Terra Greens since I was 48 and I'm now 65. This is a great course to practice on and to get good at playing golf altogether. The price is right and all in all the course is in pretty good shape. Getting better everytime I return. Cheers to all who helped save this wonderful hidden jem !
