Carroll Valley at Liberty Mountain is a full-length, resort-adjacent mountain round that’s built to feel like an event. A stream fronts a large portion of the holes, creating both beauty and consequence—commitment matters when you’re choosing lines and clubs. The layout is a par 71 with an uncommon mix of six par 3s and five par 5s, which makes pacing and scoring opportunities feel different than a standard par-72 track. It’s the type of course where smart management wins: take advantage of the reachable chances, but avoid the penalty swings that come from forcing hero shots near water. Overall, it’s scenic, structured, and very “destination-friendly,” especially for groups.

The course was in fabulous condition, greens were fast. I booked a late Saturday tee time thinking it would be a fast 18 yet when I cought the group in front of me it was a 5some. Now I was a single but oh man were they sloooow. Anyway, they shouldn't be able to run a 5some especially on a weekend. Other than pace of play it was enjoyable.

Second trip to Carroll Valley this year and each time it gets better. The course is in immaculate shape. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Price is good for this nice of a course. Staff are super friendly and pace of place was excellent. Three of us played 18 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Not to mention the scenery is amazing this time of year.

Amazing course. Great for even the average golfer. Course is in great shape. Staff was out getting the course ready and make it look great. Bunkers are well maintained. Greens are spotless and look great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was my first time playing and the staff helped me out. Would definitely come back and play when we come back for a visit.
