Description

Juniper in Redmond blends desert terrain with bold, modern architecture to create a dramatic and memorable layout. The course is known for firm fairways, sculpted bunkers, and elevated greens that challenge even seasoned players. Views of the Cascades dominate the backdrop, and the dry climate allows for excellent conditions most of the year. It's consistently ranked among Oregon's best public courses.

Nice and well maintained course with a friendly staff that’s open to all skill levels. If I HAD to be critical in any capacity, I’d request a few more water refill stations and/or some covered and shaded areas along the cart path for those super hot days. That’d really be my only critique, the place is truly great!

Fun course and layout, great condition, greens can be super fast. Enjoy rounds and tournaments here. Not sure what the deal with this tree is?

The golf course is in great shape. The maintenance guy we spoke to while out on the course was friendly and when we complimented him on his work, he responded saying he takes pride of his work. The pro shop staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and bar staff is great. This has become one of our favorite golf courses in Oregon and will always recommend it.

Me and two guys from work decided we was going to try golf out in the area. The golf shop guy was very friendly and polite. We paid 62$ each to play 9 holes. After 1st hole t off a guy approached us very rudely and saying we wasn’t supposed to be allowed to play on the course. We asked why and he said bc we have one set of clubs and if we can’t afford to each have a set then we are not aloud to play. ( later found out he was the Marshall) then a second time on 4th par hole we was told we shouldn’t be playing again by different guy. So we played the the 5th par and was on t off for 6th when the sprinklers came on and sprayed across the fairway affecting t off. We left and went to golf shop and addressed the issues. The shop guy was nice but couldn’t do anything to help us. We should have been refunded or given an apology or something. We have been to a lot of courses and never had any issues with playing with one set of clubs. We are construction worlds and travel. Hope this helps other to be better prepared to be treated like crap.

Probably the best true public (municipal) golf course on the west coast and one of the best in America. Course is very high quality for a muni. Some locals call it Pronghorn Junior (in ref to the resort courses at The Preserve, nearby) Pros: 1. Fairways are pristine and well maintained. Tee boxes too. 2. Greens are excellent, however, bear in mind, this is a fully open public course, so it gets lots of play by higher handicappers and recreational golfers. 3. Except for a few holes, the bunkers are in good shape, but due to splash, some may need to be replenished with sand a little more often. 4. Excellent practice facilities! Especially the back of the range for members. Chipping practice area behind the restaurant is huge. Putting practice green is big and true to actual greens. 5. Also, Juniper has the best PDP membership program in the west. Probably the entire country. Pay 50.00 per month for membership fee, plus 23.00 per round, including cart and range balls, after 1:00. Playing at least twice per month pays for itself and you can use the practice facilities anytime. This also has reciprocals at other courses in CO. 6. Juniper hosts some great Am tournaments including OGA, NWGG, and PNGA. 7. Bev Cart is usually very active between 9 and 5, and 8. The View restaurant at the turn is great! Some cons: 1. Pace of play can be ridiculously slow. RIDICULOUSLY slow! Especially if you are playing behind beginners or families...and most of the time, Juniper does not enforce pace of play rules. If you are a single on a slow day, play late, or try jumping around to gap holes to get them all in, if you can. 2. The greens do get a lot of traffic (lots of three and four jackers sashaying back and forth over the hole) and, unfortunately, many players do not repair their divots, so bring a divot tool and be prepared to fix a few extra. 3. There may be some GUR areas on a few greens that may be temporarily roped off, early in the season. But, not a big deal. 4. It can get WINDY in the afternoons during late fall, spring and summer. Weather can change quickly too. Know the forecast. 5. Juniper will have several temp greens during cold months of winter. Call the pro shop or check their website prior to see if temps are being used. Overall, Juniper is one of the west's great courses with great staff.
