Hidden gem. $10 all day. This course was 10x better then people described. Hard to score.

From Eugene where we play Oakway, Laurelwood, and the surrounding courses often. Gave the course 4/5 stars as the greens are currently very sandy and not rolling true. Otherwise, the whole experience was exactly like you'd expect a smaller, less expensive, rural course to be. It's no Emerald Valley, and doesn't try to be. Absolutely loved being able to use driver on all of the par 4's and 5's. Long course, but manageable. Highly recommend giving it a shot. Note: it is a 9 hole course. But if you play blue tees then red tees, you really do get a different look on 3 of the holes. I was able to eagle 18 due to my drive being close enough to hit an approach onto the green. Give it a shot, its great. Also, new manager, really trying to make a difference.

Fun course with wide open fairways. Didn’t see any elk but lots of evidence they hang on the course.

Circle Bar is an old-school, rural, 9-hole golf course that's run on a small budget, has limited shop hours, and few amenities. Bring cash, as the pro shop is unlikely to be open unless you're there during summer midday hours. The green fees can be deposited in a lockbox next to the first tee. The price varies based on season (IMHO, it seems a little pricey for what it is in the summer, but it is a great deal in the offseason). The course itself is fairly long, at around 3400 yards from the blues. The two par 5s are tough, especially when roll is limited by wet/uncut fairways; they're long and both play uphill. Most tee shots are wide open, but the greens are tiny and I do mean TINY, and crowned, so it's a tough place to score well. Maintenance is what you'd expect given the location and price point, but I will say that when I last played (10/30), the greens were mostly in very good shape and putted true. Don't be surprised if you're the only one out here, except for the elk, who like to wander on to the course in the mornings and evenings.
