Got to golf here with my friend who’s a member. This course was superb. From the fairways to the bunkers were I spent a good amount of time. The food was great too. I really enjoyed this place and I’m even considering a membership!

My wife and I have been members for 2.5 years now and love it! The course is playable year round and is a fair but challenging championship course. I can also say the pool/workout facility is second to none! I highly recommend if you’re interested in joining a great community of people!

Planned a beautiful reception for my clients here and it went so smooth! The team made the transition as seamless as possible. The food, the drinks - everything was incredible. There was a small hiccup in the beginning but they quickly helped us overcome the obstacle!

What a great place! Its a home away from home for us. Amazing Gym and Pool. The golf course is in amazing shape and the food and staff are always amazing. BEST PRACTICE FACILITIES AROUND - HANDS DOWN. As a club there are tons of great events, the men's club is starting to try new things to engage the members who still work - if you are looking for a great club, this is it!

Got invited out by a friend of a friend with a Salishan membership reciprocal connection. He paid $20. The rest of us paid $140 each including a BS 3% credit card charge. That pricing information would have been helpful before I emotionally committed to the round! I was crushed, but more airline miles on my SW Card, I guess. I had heard somewhere in the $80 to $100 range, which I could justify for a course this nice. At $140 I start expecting post-round chiropractic realignment included with the cart fee. They do throw in range balls and tees. At that rate, those tees better be carved from rare mahogany! Designed by Shirley Stone and opened in 1962, WVCC is one of the most respected private courses in the Pacific Northwest. Par 72, over 7,200 yards from the tips, slope rating of 136. Hole 16 was named one of Oregon's most interesting holes by the OGA. Mature Douglas firs and oaks line the fairways and penalize you quickly for anything offline. The front nine is relatively forgiving. The back nine shows no interest in mercy. To cope financially I maximized value per stroke and carded a very economical 112, 61 on the front and 51 on the back. Interesting that the supposedly harder back nine produced the better score. Reality was probably 120 plus. I invoked the invitation clause on at least ten tee shots and hit a 2nd one. Those were great, so id just pick up my first. Our host shot 84 and got the best dollar per strike ratio by a wide margin. He plays constantly, obviously. The greens were rolling around a 10 on the stimpmeter going downhill and mysteriously transformed into a 6, 7 going uphill. The weirdest green speed experience I've had in a while, probably grain running toward the sun or the river. Pin placements, whoever set them had unresolved feelings toward humanity. Dang. I even four-putted once. Putting is the best part of my game. The greens won. So, by the back nine I was mentally broken and mostly stopped filming tee boxes. I hope you enjoyed he ones I did. The clubhouse restaurant looked great. My buddy got the clam chowder and immediately started talking like he'd discovered religion. Serious food envy. Wish I had ordered a bowl. Excellent course, premium conditions, genuinely beautiful. I'd come back at $80 to $100. At $140 I need spa services included. Won't rush back at that rate.
