Played here on 8/3/2025. I grew up playing twilight golf on this course over a decade ago. I booked my tee time mostly for the nostalgia and just wanting to see it again after moving away. The night before I played I checked out the reviews and I got a little worried. However the reviews don't tell the full story. This golf course struggled for a long time, and it wasn't cared for how it should have been. The new owners of this course are clearly working very hard to rectify that. While it's not in perfect shape currently, it's obvious that improvements are happening. I've very excited at the direction this course is taking and will absolutely make the trip back to town next summer to play again. Give GCO a shot. It's worth the play, and while not perfect, playing here and supporting the course how it sits now, will go a long way toward the improvements in the future.

Unfortunately this course has been at a steady decline, will be taking it off the roster of available courses until something changes. Not sure where the greens fee is going when it doesn’t look like the course has been mowed in 2 weeks. Some holes it’s hard to tell where the green actually starts VS the fairway This course has potential! Just needs some attention and a grounds crew.

This course only gets two stars, they really need to improve. I understand the recent history regarding change of ownership this course has gone through and that they are slowly reviving. However, if your golf course is half alive, which this one basically is at this moment, then you cannot be charging the same prices as higher end courses in the area such as Trysting. Because I am a student Trysting is actually cheaper to play 9-holes than GC of Oregon. I also understand to revive this course you need to water a lot but damn, just about every time I play twilight they turn the sprinkles on multiple tee-boxes that are supposed to be dry and playable. If you like golfing through a waterpark then you’ll love it but personally I don’t like being soaked or having to time my Tee for when the sprinkle isn’t going to hit me. In summary, this course could really be one of the coolest and most unique in the area, but please lower your prices because your current business model makes zero sense and is probably hurting your course more than you realize (especially hurting your reputation). Also, you should probably consider a student discount. Dallas Golf Club has one and they’re 50 minutes away from OSU while your course is the second closest next to Trysting not too mention the closest to LBCC.

This is the worst golf course I have ever played. Fairways were ankle high (not joking). I Lost multiple balls in the middle of the fairway, they do not mow anything. Greens need a lot of work as you can tell from the photos. There was no sand in any of the bunkers, they looked like a mud pit with weeds growing in them. I feel like I got worse from golfing this course. My putting speed will be off. There was zero short grass to hit from. Felt as if I was playing from the thick rough the whole time. The driving range was overgrown and had nets all ripped up. Cart paths had no gravel and looked like a mud pit in several places. Don’t waste your money on this garbage like I did. I should have looked closer before playing.

Every week is a new improvement to GCO. I enjoy seeing what each week brings. Taking lessons from Sharon has been wonderful and I’m learning so much. Highly recommend her.
