Yesterday I visited Sequoyah State Park to play their 9 hole course off Jackson Bay, which is southeast of Wagner, OK. A surprising course with much more undulation than expected, and challenging elevated greens and fairways over rolling valleys. The course is very well maintained with billiard hard fast greens. I will definitely revisit!

Course looks beautiful right now. Nestled up against Lake Tenkiller with a beautiful lake view on several holes. Once an 18 hole course, it's now just a 9 hole. Proshop has golf gear, drinks, and snacks, and very nice workers. You may get lucky and have a tasty roller dog from time to time! The experience is definitely worth the greens fees

Beautiful course, greens were in great shape and pretty fast. Not an easy course as a newer golfer but really enjoyed playing here. My only complaint was there were lots of rocks. My brother chipped a club in the edge of the fairway because he hit a large rock just under the surface of the grass. I ended up moving my ball off the rocks probably twice to avoid damaging my clubs. But the people were nice and I would definitely play here again

I remember when this was an 18 hole golf course. It could be such a nice track, But, the state must ignores basic maintenance. The golf cart path is a mix of crushed rock, gravel, concrete and cracked concrete. The 3rd hole is absolutely a joke. The entire hole slants toward the water and everything right is boulders. The rough needed to be mowed but 3 is just a rock quarry. With some investment, it could be a signature hole. Hit a hybrid from the whites or kiss the ball goodbye. Since this course is 9 holes, you have to play each 9 twice. We played from whites and then reds. Some of holes were decent, half the holes need investment. Ok final 2 complaints, Stop the 8-somes and 6-somes and get some water in the course as it was 99 heat index.

The greens are in great shape. A few of the fairways are a bit rough, but overall not terrible. It's a shame they had to close the front 9, but on the plus side they turned what used to be hole 1 into a driving range, and it's right next to the clubhouse. The golf carts are pretty decent. The staff was friendly. I also like that they sell alcohol. The course itself is absolutely beautiful and somewhat challenging. It is a bit confusing in regards to what holes are open and where the next hole is in a few cases for players who don't play the course regularly. Overall this is an affordable, well maintained course(aside from a few fairways). I will definitely be back and would recommend checking it out.
