Terribly maintained in a lot of areas yet very nice in others. Water leaks everywhere around the greens. 18th hole is just bad around the greens. Water leaks on the collars? And you can’t blame the recent rain cuz 3/4 of course was dry except around greens where they hand water. The greenskeeper should be ashamed. I expect it at lower price courses but charging $60 and then not having basic knowledge of how to irrigate is just outrageous. Glad to never come back.

Don’t waste your money. Go to Page Belcher. This course had a water leak on 18th around the green making for such a terrible finish to a course. Several spots around course were way over watered causing massive mud spots. Tee boxes were not up to what’s course like this should charge for. Greenskeepers here should be ashamed. Don’t waste your time.

Positives of this course are decent fairway grass, wide fairways and pleasant staff. Pretty layout. They allow walking. They shouldn't hype their greens on their website. It is within a housing development so even though the fairways are wide, on windy days you likely will put a ball or two in people's yards.. Some green to tee distances are a hike. I saw the review that complained that they had aerated the greens and charged him to play. Since it was a full month after the aeration, and the last day they were offering the aeration discount, I made a tee time for a couple hours after my plane landed anyway. When I asked staff about the greens the response was pretty hairy. So even though greens make up a large portion on how I judge a course it wouldn't be right for me to downgrade on the aeration. On the other hand the website raves about how their greens are the best in the area. I hope you can tell from the pictures that there are some major dead areas on some of the greens that have nothing to do with the aeration. Greens are pretty large so it's probable that they can find decent areas to put the pins, but some of the greens have so much down area, they really need to change their website until they are repaired.

Course in good condition. Greens very good! Very confusing layout for playing first time. No tees for ladies so not friendly for females! Played with my wife and she was playing from the silver senior tees and then joined a two some of two gentlemen and they told her to move up to ladies tees? Found one set of red tees for women on one hole and that was it! Don’t understand??

Played here on 4/22. The greens were absolutely horrendous. They were way overgrown, patchy, & just god awful. I was told by quite a few folks thay this course was good, but boy were they wrong. I wouldn't take my ex-wife to play here. Battle Creek management needs to have a sit down with their superintendent get this mess of a golf course figured out.
