It was okay. The fairways were pretty filled with dirt and not really kept up with. The water was all nasty too - and smelled like death as you got close. The course was fun but the conditions could have been better for the cost of a round.

Really friendly and professional staff and beautiful scenery but boy was it tough out there Plugged the green a couple times and fairways were pretty muddy. Really dig the layout and greens but conditions made it tough.

Mom & Pop operation and no reinvestment since I was last here back in 1991. They will probably sell out to homebuilders in the near future. The staff does not make you feel like the course is a $50 a round course. Go to Legacy and you'll have a better experience. The rough was not cut, the greens was fuzzy and the fairways are high as well. It's amazing my son still shot a 75.

Giving it a 5 because dang this is a vintage and amazing course with so many friendly people and honestly it's a gem . Don't hit here though around this time of year unless you are good at hitting out of a rough because the grass is longer and you won't get an easily found ball . Not a course for the faint hearted so don't expect easy play or don't write bad reviews if you expect to find your ball knowing this! It is really well maintained for the spring season in my opinion because they are trying to keep the greens lush and it has been a very rainy season . I'm really excited to see this course early summer . They seem like great people here ! The clubhouse is so cool . And the guy inside was super nice and accommodating . Starters were friendly as well .

Came last year towards the end of the season. Had an unexpected rain storm so when we made the turn, staff told us they were shutting down for the day and gave us a rain check for 18 holes. Pretty cool. Although when I returned to use the rain check, there was a fairly unhappy older woman working the front desk who refused to even look at my receipt. To her credit, it was fairly worn, but you could easily make out Hilliard Lakes and Rain Check. But she refused to even look at the receipt, and said I should have taken better care of it. She showed me a new receipt she just printed and said “this is what they look like”, not accounting for the fact that mine was from last season. Seemed like she was having a tough morning, but I don’t think it’s any reason to be that rude. So now I essentially paid for 18 holes when I only golfed 9, and they refused the reimbursement that they gave me. Also, the fairways were in rough shape. It was hard to tell the fairways from the rough. Plus they won’t honor their rain checks apparently.
