Set up a 75 man outing at Roses Run for May 31st. The owner Matt and his entire staff were more than accommodating with planning and execution. Course was in excellent shape and offered a challenge that was enjoyed by all. Definitely purchase a course booklet if it is your first time playing. Cart girls, bartenders, and staff were some of the best we ever had and food was also great! Overall the experience added to our whole trip and we will be sure to be back next year. 10/10!

This is a great course and I love playing it. With that being said, the fact they are charging $54 for 18 at this point in the year is ridiculous. I could go out today and play two of the nicest courses in Northeast Ohio, Boulder Creek and The Quarry for cheaper than what Roses is charging right now.

The course is in great shape!! It was busy but they kept the pace of play moving. Fun day. We had dinner and drinks after. Shout out to Ethan and the girls behind the bar.

We played here yesterday 4/8/21. It was our first time at this course. The staff was pleasant and covid compliant. The clubhouse was clean and comfortable for lunch. Now to the course itself, great layout and the grounds were in excellent shape. It was a windy day, but still scored well. We were getting quite a bit of roll on the fairways.

I rarely take the time to write lengthy reviews, but after my experience at Roses Run Country Club today, I feel compelled to warn anyone thinking about spending their hard-earned money here. Let’s start with the absolutely pathetic pace of play. I went out as a single and the first few holes were great…however…there was a massive logjam by the 4th hole with 4 groups actively playing the same hole! The course packs tee times way too close together just to turn a profit, with zero regard for the actual experience on the course. To make matters worse, there wasn’t a single ranger in sight to police the pace. Actually I take that back…the only time I saw the ranger was when he drove all the way out to the 4th hole to make sure I paid. I understand that playing as a single can make for a long round, however, maybe pair singles together? Every other course in NE Ohio does this with no issue. It ruins the entire rhythm of the game when you have to wait 15 minutes before every single shot. As bad as the wait was, the terrible course conditions were the real slap in the face... • The Tee Boxes: Trashed and completely uneven, making it difficult to even find a flat spot to tee up your ball. •The Rough: Hasn’t been mowed since 2005…I mean we are talking US Open at Oakmont rough. If they claim this is intentional to make the course play more difficult then they are just lying to you. The rough consists primarily of weeds and crabgrass and leftover grass clippings left from when they last mowed (2005). The greens were actually in pretty great shape so I will commend them for this. The layout here is excellent! One of my personal favorites in NE Ohio, but the lack of maintenance and basic agronomy is staggering. It is clear that ownership has given up on keeping this place in playing shape, choosing instead to let it go to seed while still charging premium rates. If you enjoy waiting on every box, hitting off of dirt, and putting through craters, this is the place for you. If you actually care about golf, stay far away. There are plenty of other public courses in Northeast Ohio that actually respect the game and their customers. I won’t be back.
