Course is not maintained, or if it is… not very well. Fairways are nearly indistinguishable from rest of cuts. Typically the only way you’d know you’re in a fairway is because it was mostly dirt. Iron play is a guessing game because of how hard some of the fairways might be. Greens were mostly okay, but a few had patches of dead grass scattered around leading to high or unexpected sideways bounces. Exposed hoses, sewer pipes, etc on some holes lead to interesting bounces and lies. Not worth the drive, not worth the time, and certainly not worth anywhere near $50. Definitely has the feel of owners selling or retiring soon and just a cash grab bleeding it out until people actually stop coming. I mean comparatively Briarwood is $50 and everything is green and lush, with much better facilities. The only positive about this course was the staff for the most part. Will probably never return. Save your money and head to another course cause this is not even close to the 3.9 it’s rated now. Could be a nice place if it was actually kept up, but it’s gonna need a major overhaul.

Not sure what the bad reviews are for, it's not pebble beach but not a lot of places are. It's well maintained and the pace of play is better than most. Been there a few times this year and wont hesitate to go back when I am in the area Just played there for my 3rd time. Still 5 stars and will continue to come back.

I agonized a bit between three and four stars. The first nine was missing quite a bit of grass but the 2nd nine was in great shape. The holes are some of the largest I have seen. Huge fairways and greens. The greens were readable and puttable. Not too fast or too flow. The clubhouse is ancient and the golf carts had to be 30 years old. It had the charm of an old time golf course so I gave them 4 stars. The most interesting thing about this course is a Herman Keiser who owned the course in the 1950s won the Masters in1946 and he was also on the Ryder Cup team. Photos in the club house.

Wow—what an experience! This golf course is truly a gem for anyone who’s ever thought, “You know what would make golf better? Playing on an airport runway with random swamps thrown in.” The fairways are a bold artistic choice—grass is so overrated, after all—and the concrete-like ground really adds to the challenge. Why hit a normal iron shot when you can chip sparks off your 7-iron? The water features are especially inspiring. Who needs manicured ponds when you can have full-on swampland right in the middle of play? Nothing says “championship course” like losing three balls to an ecosystem that may or may not contain an alligator. In short, if you’ve ever wanted the thrill of playing golf, doing parkour, and surviving a nature documentary all in one day, this is the perfect course.

No real food to speak of. Grass is mostly dead with lots of potholes. I twisted my ankle a bit. Definitely nothing I would say was nice attractive or aesthetically pleasing about the course. Also cash only FYI they have an ATM that they will charge you a fee to use. Make sure you keep the little paper receipt they print out. Guarantee they are claiming almost nothing on taxes otherwise why stay so far in the past?
