Terrible experience…. Paid at the pro shop and the guy asked if I wanted a receipt. I asked if I needed one for the starter and he said no so I replied all good. At the first tee box a guy came rushing out and claimed someone didnt pay in my group asking for receipts. I explained I didnt have one but showed the charge on my phone. The guy took my phone out of my hands and said the pro needed to see my phone then drove away with my phone. On hole 3 he caught up to us and returned my phone but said the pro needed to see us at the turn. At the turn the pro matched my card to a receipt they had with little to no acknowledgement of the hounding after I had paid. Extremely disorganized and I will never be back. If you want to relax and play golf, go somewhere else. I wasted $85. The tee times were super close and most holes had groups stacked even though we were the 7:20am tee time. 5 hour round and when the ranger would drive by they didnt do anything to improve the pace of play. I expected to be treated better for $85. This course is now on my do not play list.

The pro shop let two of their members start on # 10, just as we were walking off # 9 green. We had to wait for them on almost every whole on the back nine. Very inconsiderate in my opinion. They drove past us leaving, they were going to # 1 tee. They said to us we play pretty fast i told them we could've played faster. Probably won't go back.

All in all a decent course. Half of it is Donald Ross and the other half seems to have come along at a different time. Proshop: decent selection, well stocked, expected pricing Staff: friendly and courteous Driving range: grass and mats. I didn't use it but it looks to be aqua balls which I hate. Practice area: putting green was nice, large, rolled well, lots of cups, and similar to the greens. Chipping area with a trap but didn't use it. Seemed OK, nothing special but most dont even have one. Course - Design: nothing crazy. Back is tighter than the front or at least it felt that way. Most of the length on the longer tees is on the par 3's and 5's. Fairways: mostly wide and forgiving. Flat on the front, lots or slope and undulation on the back. Rough: not terrible. Lots of taller Heather to get lost in. Traps: nice enough, relatively well maintained but still hard pack sand about .5" below the surface. Not fluffy. Greens: good condition for the most part. Some were pretty beat up. Rolled relatively well with some deceptive breaks. Other: cart paths are not complete on the back and navigating can be a little tricky. Overall: a decent course but in my opinion its overpriced. This course falls in the 70 with cart sweetspot for what you are getting. Not over 90. Would play there again but not at full price.

I LOVE the challenges this course can provide you. I haven't played it more than 10 times, but I wish I could multiply that by the same. The only negative to the round was the staff cleaning up the top-dress from a recent aeration. That accounts for 4/5. The staff at the pro-shop and concession were courteous, and even offered helpful suggestions without a prompt. If you haven't played there then you are absolutely missing out. Book your next round there before your usual go-to.

Cool course and set up. Three stars for the combo or being $65 for 18 with a cart on a weekday and being in pretty bad shape in a lot of places. Dry, greens eaten up in a lot of places, greens very sandy. Would not play here again.
