Booked at tee time for this past Saturday and was extremely disappointed that we were never told that the greens were aerated. Not only were they aerated, they had so much sand on the greens it made putting almost impossible. I'm guessing the Management doesn't care to give you the courtesy to tell you when you book that the greens are in terrible shape. Not only did they not tell you, they charged $70. Wow. The fee should have at least been discounted. Again Management should be ashamed... The 3 other guys are going to leave negative reviews as well because they should be called out. 70 bucks is good money for a course that's in horrible shape (greens specifically). Again it's more about the courtesy of it all. Didn't have time to stop in and talk to the manager we had another course booked that afternoon. Talked with another group that we seen passing by who also said they weren't notified... Added pics, and they weren't even the bad greens either. Didn't have my phone on me.

Had a very pleasant round at St. Denis golf club today. YAll the folks I encountered in the pro shop/clubhouse were friendly and courteous. The course itself was in very good shape considering the dry conditions the past several weeks. Most public courses have terrible cart paths to the point you could get hurt. St. Denis had some of the best/well kept cart paths in the area. What I liked most were the varied par 3 holes. They were all scenic and varied in length nicely. This was my gfirst time playing here and I would have approached a few holes differently had I known the contours of some of the fairways better.

The fairways are very lush and green . Well kept up for the most part, but I will say more attention to details where the weeds are along the cart paths on the par 3 - I don’t understand how a superintendent could miss the amount of weeds growing up in certain areas which could be so easy just to trim them.. I know sand is expensive but they really could put SOME sand traps on the front and back. I saw 2 but they were marked hazards. That was the disappointing part as sand adds some aesthetics to your course, plus makes it more challenging. I’ll be back though because it is a challenging course and has some beautiful holes and a nice layout for sure!⛳️

Just want to say what a great event we had at St. Denis for our annual golf outing. This is the 3rd straight year that Darrell, Doug, and the rest of the staff took great care of us and really paid attention to the details. The course was in great shape, the prices were reasonable, and all amenities were in good condition. The staff was fantastic throughout. Can't wait to run it back again next year!

Really solid public course in Chardon. St. Denis is a fun, traditional layout with enough variety to keep every hole interesting. Fairways are playable, greens roll pretty true, and the routing has a nice mix of open and tree-lined holes that make you think a bit off the tee. It’s not overly punishing, but it still rewards good shot placement, which keeps it fun for all skill levels. Pace of play was reasonable, and the overall vibe is relaxed and low-key, exactly what you want for a casual round. Conditions can vary depending on the season, but when it’s in good shape, it’s a great value for the price and one of the more enjoyable public tracks in the area. Would definitely play again!
