Today was my first time playing the course and it was a great experience! The price for 18 with a cart relative to the condition of the course was really reasonable. And getting to the course, it looked really nice! The fairways were well-groomed and the greens were quick and true. I would definitely recommend Sycamore!

Sycamore Springs Golf Course recently hosted the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Girls District Tournament, attracting many grandparents eager to watch their granddaughters play. However, the course’s poor distribution of spectator carts left many disappointed. We arrived an hour before the first tee time, only to find ourselves in a long line to secure a cart. Despite our efforts, the line barely moved, and we were informed that there were no more carts available. This was puzzling, considering the anticipated crowd. When inquired about the lack of carts, the staff member responded rudely, stating that renting a cart would cost $100. However, this does not have to be the case. Many courses bring in extra carts for special events at a negotiated price with the supplier. In contrast, the next week, Heatherwoode Golf Course hosted the OHSAA Girls State Tournament. They implemented a system that required a handicap placard to rent a spectator cart. This approach proved to be highly effective, eliminating long lines and ensuring a respectful and efficient experience for spectators. Sycamore Springs should consider learning from Heatherwoode’s success and implementing a similar system to manage spectator cart availability. This simple change could significantly improve the overall experience for both spectators and the golf course staff.

Quite simply the most unprofessional course I’ve ever had the “pleasure” to play. Our group made a mistake on the first hole and were told by surrounding players that it was cart path only at which we acknowledged and were planning to correct. Before we had a chance Dean came storming out of the clubhouse like a 5 year old waking up from a nap and I’m not exaggerating this because any 5 year old I’ve been around has acted more professionally and respectful than this clown. Please stay far away from Dean and this course and spend your money literally anywhere else…..

I am writing to bring to your attention an incident involving one of your supervisors/employees. My group was accused of leaving a golf cart full of trash and beer containers, even though none of us were drinking beer and the trash did not belong to us. The situation became more upsetting when the supervisor approached us yelling rather than speaking to us respectfully and professionally. We felt unfairly targeted and humiliated by the way we were treated. Whether there was a misunderstanding about the cart or not, the manner in which your employee handled the situation was unacceptable. I am asking that you review this incident and address the employee's conduct. Customers should be treated with respect, especially before accusations are made. Because of this experience, I am reluctant to return to your golf course. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be handled.

Played here for the first time. The course was in nice condition, but the clubhouse staff was not so nice. Drove around an hour to play this course. We hit our tee shots on hole one and drove our carts to our balls. A guy in the clubhouse came out and screamed at us for driving off of the cart path instead of having a civilized conversation. He said we were told in the clubhouse that it was cart path only and they had signs all over saying that. There was one sign on the way from the parking lot to the clubhouse and we were never told when we checked in. We saw him again towards the end of the round and we apologized for what we did, but he continued to degrade us. Went in after the round and spoke to the course manager. He defended the employee and agreed with him. Staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful.
