Minot AFB's Rough Rider is a cushy-walking prairie nine with broad landing areas and subtle green contours that reward confident approaches. Prevailing winds and a few longer par 4s keep it from playing too soft, especially from the back tees. Conditioning is reliably solid through peak season, and the on-base setting gives it a relaxed, community vibe. A full practice setup - including a driving range - makes it an easy place to tune up before a round.

I love roughrider. Its got plenty of challenges to keep you honest, forgiving fairways. It has potential to be so much more if they would take care of the weeds in the fairways and hire a pest control guy full time. Richardson ground squirrels basically own it and let us play there

Delivered tires for Tires Plus at the base but can't go there because we need badges and they check your vehicle every time you go there. But I call and let them know that I am on my way. Very nice people. Keep up the good work.

I love this course. Challenging and not too busy that you’re being pushed. Only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that from midseason there are way too many weeds on the fairways!! Please spray the fairways this upcoming season!!

Greens are great, soft. The tee boxes need a little work. The 2nd cut is thick, it makes you make good solid contact. The fairway could also use a little work, alot of weeds. You are able to hit down thru the ball, club doesn't bounce. The wind makes it a real challenge. Enjoyed the round.
