Update! We’re back for another visit this year and so far, we’ve played the course 3 times. During that time, we’ve only run across 1 other person on the course and he wasn’t even playing! Just checking on us to make sure we had enough water on a hot day. I will say that the course is still nicely maintained, but the cat tails are starting to take over on a few holes. I hope they get a handle on them before they take over! We’ll continue to come back to this underused course! —2023 - What a find! We love nicely maintained small town courses and this one doesn’t disappoint! We showed up on a Saturday to a locked clubhouse and not a soul was around. There was an honor box and some hand carts so we were fine! It’s obvious that they take great pride in caring for the course. The tee boxes and greens were really nice. The fairways were a mix of grasses and not quite as lush, but very playable. I do wish they could do something to mitigate some of the cattails surrounding all the water hazards, but now I’m just splitting hairs. Love the challenging saddle greens and some interesting layout features on some of the holes. We should have realized that driving of the highly elevated first tee would mean we’d eventually have to climb back up on the ninth — a 30-35 degree straight uphill shot over the last 75-100 yards from the hole! We played 18 holes on a beautiful September day and we had the entire course to ourselves the whole time. Great fun! We’ll be back…
