This course is immaculate! Tee boxes are good, Fairways are great, (very hilly and some blind challenging shots, but in great shape), and greens are perfect! (Roll true, fast, and smooth) not a bad spot on them. Greens are undulating and definitely not easy.. Approach shots barely leave a mark on the green but they hold well. Even the fringe is nice. I mentioned challenging, and it is but isn't that why we play this game? Carts are deluxe with soft bucket seats and gps screen you can use for a flyover view of the hole, green view, and even shot distance and score. Staff was very friendly, starter, grill staff and pro shop staff, met the owner Tony- he was working in the pro shop after my round and he was very nice and helpful with info and shirt prices. They have a grill that you can call and order a sandwich or snacks from after your front nine or breakfast sandwich beforehand. Beautiful views at this place also. I will return and wish I lived 30 minutes closer, I'd join in a heartbeat! May do it anyway!

In great shape. Very challenging length, deep rough, and pretty fast undulating greens. Carts are very nice with GPS. If you struggle off the tee bring plenty of balls. Off the fairway you won't find yours!

Our first visit to River Oaks today! Every staff member we met were very personable, friendly and willing to help. What an awesome course and it was in great shape. Many holes of more placement golf, not a flat green, greens were hard and fast..... all my favorite things! Absolutely loved the layout and course conditions. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend playing if you are in the Statesville area!

Nice Course for a Public golf course. Very Challenging. Mountain feel. Intense but very senic views. Elevated tees and Greens. Staff are very Friendly. Jim was very professional and Helpful.

This is definitely one of the most beautiful, well maintained public courses I've been to within 50+ miles. Great rates, surprisingly available tee times, and the owner is one of the friendliest, most accommodating and genuine guys I've ever interacted with in a public course pro-shop. The course also brings a level of difficulty that really makes this +12 hcp golfer feel extra accomplished when I'm able to get the rare birdie. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great public course within a 50-60 mile radius. Oh and did I mention their golf carts have enough torque to train an astronaut in withstanding g-force?? This course is a can't-miss if you like swinging golf clubs in the general direction of a flag!
