Not a bad driving range. I just wished there was cover over the driving area, it got really hot. Large basket was $14, I’m not sure how many balls but, I’m guessing about 150-170 balls give or take. Apparel prices were a bit high even with the “sale”. The staff could be more welcoming.

Great course. Did not play regular golf but rather disc golf. Very nice course that was setup as a disc golf course 9n the back 9.

When I learned that some idiots in charge have elected to close this wonderful Donald Ross course, I had to lock in some time and make plans to play one more round here. I'm retired from the Army and now live in Kentucky. Here's a historic golf track, designed by one of America's premier architects lovingly placed on a military reservation that has an old Officers Club with a link to George Patton. Remember George Patton was the one who said don't ever pay for the same real estate twice. And now some idiot or perhaps a cabal of touches trapped in an echo chamber have elected to let this place be morphed into something else on an Army installation that has thousands of acres. I spent eighteen years of my thirty eight years in the military here at Fort Bragg. Several of the units I was assigned to used to use Stryker and Ryder Golf courses as places to do PT in the early morning. We're running out of outdoorsy things parents get to do with their kids. And other than rucking Yorktown Victor etc, we're running out of team building activities on this post. But you can get an iced coffee and tank your car up all over Post. Even despite the obvious neglect of this course and equipment, the greens are in phenomenally good shape. I only saw two that had damage. The golf carts look like something that you'd find on a Kentucky farm after the harvest. The seats have the vinyl broken and foam sticking out and I saw a lot of bald tires. It's going to be a sad day when this treasure closes. I shouldn't be surprised as there used to be the old Donald Ross course that got swallowed up by JSOC on the northside and the brainiacs shut Willow Lakes down when Pope AFB got subsumed into Pope Army Airfield. I get that the only people who really like change or babies with dirty diapers. All that said it isn't like Fort Bragg is hurting for land. I shot an 80 today. As mentioned, the greens are in great shape and despite the obvious lack of Command attention to this wonderful MWR location these greens have some breaks in them.

It is what you make of it, but the folks at the Golf Course are great. Greens were surprisingly smooth and well maintained. Fairways could use some work, but with the rain we haven’t had it is to be expected, especially since Ft. Bragg is making other plans for the land. Overall, nice experience, as they say a bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at work!

Decent course, especially for the price being so low.
